Located on Leeds Street in Footscray is a very different Melbourne cafe. Rudimentary is housed in some refurbished shipping containers, and the result couldn’t be more beautiful. With an on site herb and veggie garden, you can’t go past the decadent Buttermilk Waffles with maple, pancetta and fig.

Lievita uses a traditional method with a 72-hour dough rising time, making some of the tastiest pizzas in Melbourne. Brought to you by Chris Lucas, the genius behind hot Melbourne restaurants Chin Chin, Baby and Kong, Hawker Hall will be opening soon on Chapel Street in Windsor. Inspired by recent travels through Singapore and Malaysia, Lucas plans on bringing the vibrant sights, smells and, most importantly, tastes of South East Asia's hawker markets to Chapel Street courtesy of Hawker Hall. Similar to Chin Chin, the new Chapel Street restaurant won't be taking bookings (apart from one large group table) meaning a line will be inevitable; however if the other restaurants are anything to go by, Hawker Hall will be totally worth the wait!

Another restaurant from culinary genius Guy Grossi, Merchant Osteria Veneta is a Melbourne Italian restaurant with a focus on Venetian cuisine and tradition.
