Let's face it guys, we’re never going to stop complaining about the chilly winter mornings throughout July. But even though this week has been freezing with a capital F, there is still no excuse to stay at home in your pj’s all weekend long.

This weekend you can enjoy all of the oysters, food and wine and there are also some musical legends coming to town. If you’d prefer to chill out this weekend, we’ve also got a few markets, some yoga and a touch of art.

With Masterchef's Gary Mehigan and Adriano Zumbo headlining the ahhhhhmazing Good Food + Wine Show this year, there is no excuse not to get yourself down there and overeat like there’s no tomorrow. With Australian celebrity chefs left, right and centre, plus tastings, cooking demos and heaps more, this year’s show will be chokkas full of ultimate foodie goodies. So excited.

If you’re after a more chilled out Friday night, pop down to The Rosemount Hotel to check out the ultimate coastal folk music legend, Ziggy Alberts. This second tour is celebrating the release of his brand new track ‘Four Feet In The Forest’ which completes his album ‘Land & Sea’. This guy is the real deal.

Returning with the oyster goods, The Raffles are putting on their fourth oyster frenzy after selling out the first three times. This one will be better than ever with unlimited French Pol Roger champagne, oysters, seafood canapés, beer and wine. There will also be live jazz music to ease you into that seafood coma.

Saturday 9 July


The boys from Split Seconds will be returning to their old stomping ground of P-town this Saturday night at The Bird. This indie pop band has been killing the music game since 2010 and are constantly performing around Oz and making appearances on Triple J so now’s your chance to see them live.

Sunday @ Subi is back this weekend featuring the amazing songs of Olivia Newton John and Burt Bacharach—does this mean a Grease sing-a-long guys?! Pop down to Subi this Sunday arvo to finish off your weekend with some chilled out vibes.

Another market to hit up this Sunday! Made On The Left Winter Market is on again this weekend at the Perth Concert Hall. There will be a bunch of the best local musicians playing throughout the day as well as over 80 stallholders, goodie bags and blooms for days. So excited to check this one out.
