Terracotta Warriors Exhibition at the WA Museum Boola Bardip

Let’s be real: museums don’t always top the list when we’re planning weekend hangs—but this one hits different. The Terracotta Warriors have landed in Perth, and this once in a lifetime exhibition brings the most iconic symbols of Chinese heritage right in front of you. But it’s more than a history lesson—it's drinks, live music, cultural performances, hands-on art workshops, and next level Cantonese cuisine.
Jade Nights turns this exhibition into your next Friday night hang, with after-hours access, music, cultural performances and drinks. Dive into Oo-long Conversations led by expert guides, to enlighten yourself on Chinese culture, tombs, and immortality with a space to reflect.
If your idea of a good time leans more “taste buds” than “terracotta,” you’re in for a treat:

Curated by Lilly Blue, 'Re-Play' basically flips the script on your traditional stand-and-look gallery experience. It’s basically like a playcentre, but it's free and for all ages—with vibrant colours, tactile installations this space is made to spark creativity, connection and a bit of chaos. Bring your little ones as an excuse to let loose (or just bring yourself - we're here for it!) and rediscover the joy of hands-on, screen free play. Craving a creative reset? This is your sign!

What's On In Perth This Year
Big Bash Cricket Season Commences

Feeling stressed about what to watch now that footy season is coming to an end? Don't worry, the Aussie Big Bash is coming in hot this summer, ready for those who will be glued to every match (my dad) and those who prefer to let it play on the TV in the background (me). The annual Big Bash comp sees an adapted version of cricket where the games are quicker and the bashes are bigger, perfect for anyone who doesn't want to sit through hours of innings.
The women's season is already underway and concludes early December, when they'll pass the baton to the men who play until mid January. There's also plenty of games played live in Perth that you can watch (go Scorchers!), with the WACA Ground hosting the women and Optus Stadium hosting the men.

When: November 2025 - January 2026
Where: WACA Ground and Optus Stadium

Titanic Exhibition: The Human Story

Image Credit: Titanic: The Human Story | Supplied
After a sold-out run in Brisbane, this acclaimed international exhibition, Titanic: The Human Story, is sailing right over to Perth this December. Unlike previous Titanic museums, this exhibit focuses on the authentic human stories behind the unsinkable ship that carved out such a chunk of our history.
Visitors will spend 90 minutes walking through full-scale recreations of the Titanic's interiors, guided by an audio narrative exploring the personal stories of passangers alongside immersive period music. There will also be handwritten letters, worn-in keepsakes, photographs and rare archival materials to paint the tragic picture. And maybe while you're there you can size up the doors to see if two people could've fit.
Even if you haven't seen Titanic yet (you should probably get on that), this is a beautifully insightful exhibition reminding us that real people are at the core of our historical stories. Tickets are available now from $26 for adults and $22 for kids.
THE DETAILS:
When: 17 December 2025 to June 2026
Where: Northbridge Centre, Perth
