Messina Christmas Coma Trifle and Pistachio Christmas Bauble

Image Credit: Messina Gelato | Website
In news you’ll want to clear the freezer for, Messina Gelato’s back to deliver their signature Christmas chaos in the form of a massive sugar hit, with their legendary Christmas Coma gelato trifle making its grand return for 2025. And when they say Christmas Coma, they mean it— what a way to go.
Picture layers of passionfruit sorbet, strawberry gelato, baked cheesecake, passionfruit cheesecake mousse, vanilla chantilly, Italian meringue, and the trifle trademark of raspberry-jam Swiss rolls. And trifle aficionados may breathe a sigh of relief, because this all comes with a litre of Messina brandy custard ready to douse your dessert with. This one is said to feed 20 to 30, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
This year, the iconic trifle is joined by a brand new bauble that’s smaller in size, but not in flavour. The Pistachio Christmas Bauble is Messina’s latest showstopper, with a glossy milk chocolate shell ripe for the cracking, revealing pistachio heaven inside (I’m talking praline, crunch, and gelato) with a swirl of white chocolate mousse to tie it all together. This bauble should serve between 8 to 10.

Where: Messina Gelato, Vic Park and Highgate
