Perth’s cookie scene is next-level right now, with chewy, gooey creations popping up in cafes, bakeries and dessert bars across the city. Whether you’re a sucker for classic choc-chip, obsessed with over-the-top stuffed cookies, or hunting down vegan and gluten-free treats, there’s a cookie in Perth with your name on it. From crumbly bites in hidden suburban gems to Instagram-worthy giants in the CBD, here’s where to find the best cookies in Perth.
Cookie Loaded
37/148 Scarbrough Beach Rd, Mount Hawthorn
Image credit: Cookie Loaded | Instagram
Cookie Loaded owner Nadia Nesevski has a knack for turning a simple cookie shop into a viral sensation. The Mount Hawthorn bakery may be famous for their out-of-the-cookie-box marketing campaigns, but their sweet treats are absolutely worth the hype. Beyond their signature Naked Cookies (goey, but a little crispy, and not too heavy!), you’ll find iced strawberry matcha with mini matcha cookies, Dubai chocolate blocks and strawberry cups, and soft serve on tap. Plus, every now and then, they drop the viral soft-baked cookies, a crumbly sugar cookie base with piped icing in a luxe lineup of flavours. My best tip is to swing by about an hour after opening (typically 1.00pm, but check their instagram for daily hours) to make sure everything is ready to be served fresh, and you won’t be too late to grab the viral treats that always sell out. They’ve just landed on Uber Eats this past week too, so you can have your cookie fix loaded into a paper bag full of goods, delivered straight to your door.
Get Chunky
Mount Lawley, Currambine, Leederville, Fremantle & East Vic Park

This Perth fave has stood the test of time. Starting in Mount Lawley back in 2018, they’re now rising dough at 5 locations across Perth, including their latest Currambine store (which is a big win for all the North peeps, I’m ecstatic too!). Get Chunky cookies take inspo from New York City— densely packed with fillings and crumbly when warmed. These ones are on offer from just after breakfast right through to post-dinner snack time, making them the cookie shop in Perth with the longest opening hours. Since becoming a gluten-free girly, I’ve fallen hard for their classic GF choc-chip cookie which tastes like you’re breaking all the rules. Their seasonal monthly specials are always worth stopping by for, and this month they’re baking Milky Caramel Choc Chunk cookies (basically a caramel Magnum in chunky cookie form). Their signature cookie sangas went viral back when they first opened in 2018—you pick your cookie, your flavour of ice cream, and go wild with toppings. I still remember being in high school when my sister drove me out to their original store, with its classic 2010s vibe: neon signs, pink interiors, and all the nostalgia.
Mylk’d
30/539 Beaufort St, Mount Lawley
Mylk’d is a self-serve dessert bar and, relatively speaking, the new kid on the Beaufort block, but these doughy cookies are worth braving the parallel parking situation to devour. They’ve got everything from the classics to the viral flavours you’ve been dying to try. These aren’t just cookies with a few toppings sprinkled on top, they’re signature stuffed. With six flavours to choose from, my rec is to get the ‘Biscoff’d’, or have an ‘Oreo Bite’, but special mention to the Dubai Chocolate cookie which is filled with pistachio kataifi. Even better, at Mylk’d, the party doesn’t stop at just cookies. Their self-serve dessert lets you customise your sweet treat to your liking—soft serves, crepes, and a huge lineup of candy. It’s the new alternative to the self-serve yoghurt bar, especially if all you end up putting in your bowl is the cookie dough. (Guilty!)
LaBomb
3/7 Station St, Cottesloe
LaBomb’s cookies are the big, unapologetic extroverts of the cookie world—tall, heavy, and packed full of mix-ins. But, if one isn’t enough, you’re in the right place. Their cookie trays put that dough into a mini skillet, so they’re crispy on the outer edge, doughy on the inside, and topped with gooey sauces and candy on top. Personally, I like to ignore serving suggestions when it comes to chocolate (hello, family block for one), and these skillets are no exception. With thirteen cookie flavours and four loaded trays to choose from, it’s hard to play favourites, but the Salted Caramel Pretzel and M&M combo is giving the ultimate kitchen sink cookie. I have some bodybuilding besties who pre-ordered a box with this one as their post-show reward, and let’s just say…not a crumb survived! You can grab these treats in-store at their Cott cookie shop, or have them delivered straight to your door. They’re also home to Perth’s only mookie, a glorious muffin-cookie hybrid. And hey, muffins are healthy right?

CrumbCo
Brabham
Six rotating flavours of soft-baked, crumbly cookies in a baby pink box. Sound familiar? CrumbCo brings an iconic U.S cookie staple to Perth, and with a new drop each month, there’s always an excuse to grab a whole box. These ones are crumbly sugar cookies that melt in your mouth, topped with decadent icing flavours , and best served chilled with a glass of milk to dunk them in. Designed to be limited edition, you’ll always be running back to crumble another set of unique flavours each month.
If you can snag a lineup with Pink Confetti, it’s the closest you’ll get to those famous Lofthouse frosted sugar cookies you usually have to catch a flight to a U.S. grocery store for. CrumbCo is by preorder only, so you know your cookies are made fresh with care. You can pick up your cookie cargo at their Brabham location, or get them delivered anywhere in the Perth metro area. This month's drop features a Tiny Teddy crumbly cookie that’s pure childhood nostalgia, giving the American viral trend a perfectly Aussie twist.
The Dough Parlor
10/700 Hay Street Mall
Yeah, getting the ferry is a cute way to spend the day in Perth, but I think I prefer hopping onto cookie boats—which you can only find at The Dough Parlour. Pioneering in the cookiesphere, these boats layer chewy cookie dough,, frosting, and your choice of toppings into a sweet vessel. Can’t make it to their CBD store, or just love the smell of fresh-baked dough coming out of your oven? You can order the iconic boats, your fave cookie mix and add-ons, and set sail on your own edible adventure. Trust me, once you taste these cookie boats, regular cookies will feel like plain sailing.
Bagel-O’s
Mount Lawley & Subiaco
Come for brunch, and leave with a cookie—bagels aren’t the only dough rising here. You might be familiar with this delicatessen for their huge, Brooklyn-style bagels, but their cookies are a serious hidden gem you have to take home with you, no matter how full you’ll be. There’s only three flavours here, red velvet, chocolate chip, and butterscotch pretzel (my personal fave) but don’t be fooled, this menu may be short, but it’s just as sweet. If you’re after an extra serve of New York City, at just $6 a piece these cookies are a steal out of the jar.
CHONK
4/262 Camboon Rd, Malaga
CHONK’s here to prove that plant-based or gluten free cookies can hit like the real deal. Their mission is to create the tastiest inclusive baked goods, so no matter your dietary needs you can get in on the cookie joy. CHONK is reimagining what a cookie can be—dense and decadent, with ridiculous amounts of chocolate chunks, but completely dairy-free, gluten-free and plant based. The maple pecan cookie with cheesecake filling has to be my favourite flavour profile, essential for these colder months when all you need is a warm, cozy baked treat. They may be cooking fresh out of Malaga, but you can only grab a chonk of these cookies online, delivered to your door.
Sweet Gatherings
12 Longstaff Avenue, Alkimos
Image credit: Sweet Gatherings | Instagram
Clocking 15-hour days just to keep the trays full, Sweet Gatherings’ cookies are certainly made with a labour of love. A northern gem in a sweet-scarse area, Sweet Gathering is baking something for every craving. You’ll find thin, chewy, crisp-edged beauties in flavours like Toblerone and Malteser, right alongside chunky, loaded bakes packed with M&M, Dubai chocolate, gingerbread, and Mars bar. The chunky cookies are easily some of the heaviest, most decadent you’ll ever lift. Bring an appetite (and maybe a friend) because you’ll absolutely get your money’s worth, and maybe even leave with more than cookies from their loaded cabinet of treats.
Sweetly Perth
Malaga
Image credit: Sweetly Perth | Instagram
Fourteen thousand cookies, and two thousand eggs were used by this kitchen in the past two and a half weeks—Sweetly may be the reason egg shelves look so empty recently, but for this dough? Totally worth it. These crunchy, thick cookies are always wearing their signature chocolate drizzle, and if you’re just as obsessed as I am, you can level up and order yourself a cookie pizza, where giant chewy bases are completely customisable with the toppings of your dreams. Feeling adventurous? Try your luck with a Cookie Mystery Box found exclusively on their website; I’d say that’s a seriously good gamble. Previously stocking these ones online only, they’ve now made life dangerously easy by stocking in 16 stores across Perth, which means your next Sweetly fix might be just around the corner.
Little Dough Dealer
Stirling Farmers Market & Manning Road Market
Image credit: Little Dough Dealer | Instagram
The Little Dough Dealer is here to hook you on the good stuff. Cookies that aren’t too thick, and come in flavours that turn brekky into dessert, like hot cross bun, chocolate weetbix, and cinny raisin. The best part? They’re egg-free, dairy-free, yet still seriously buttery, prioritising bold flavours and textures over mammoth size. In a cookie world full of chunky giants, these are smaller and a bit more humble, perfect if you’re after something simple but still delicious and packed with flavour.
The sad part? You can only get your fix from the Little Dough Dealer two days a week. Saturdays 7.15am to 2.25pm during Manning Road Market, or Sundays 7.30am to 11.30am at Stirling Farmers Market is the only way you’ll catch a bite. But honestly? The weekend wait is worth it, especially when the menu rotates through gems like chunky choc Biscoff, birthday cake, peanut butter chocolate, and those unique breakfast specialties.
Gather Bakehouse
201B Oxford St, Leederville
Image credit: Gather Bakehouse | Instagram
Don’t pass by this unassuming hole in the wall cafe, because behind the counter, Gather Bakehouse has some seriously delicious cookies to pair with your morning brew. You’ll find all the classic chunky cookies packed with rich mix-ins you know and love, alongside rotating monthly flavours and fresh specials devised by the owner of Gather, Lucy:
“Honestly, sometimes I just have a very specific craving that I can’t shake and I develop a cookie purely based on that… that’s how our Salted Caramel Cookie was born and I have no regrets.”
My personal fave is the Cinny Scroll Cookie (their best-ever selling cookie flavour), but any of Gather’s creative concepts blended with classic baking, are worth your dough.
