The Cosy Season Cheat Sheet: The Winter Food And Drink Deals Worth Leaving The House For
Winter, as far as we’re concerned, is not the season for restraint. As soon as the temperature drops below 20-degrees, it’s time to book the bottomless, embrace boozy brunches, eat slow-cooked everything and order the carbohydrates.
To help guide your annual descent into the dreary-weather comfort food, The Pass App has pulled together a stack of winter dining specials happening all across Perth.
Download the app for free, and you’ll also pocket an instant $10 credit, with birthday perks, exclusive offers and rewards for every dollar you spend while you eat your way through winter.
Here’s our pick of winter venues in Perth and exactly what to order when you get there.
Scarborough Beach Bar’s Bottomless Gnocchi
Gnocc, gnocc, who’s there? Scarborough Beach Bar with two uninterrupted hours of potato pillows, that’s who. But this ain’t no joke. Every Thursday from 5pm, the upstairs seaside spot is serving up bottomless gnocchi for just $45 per person.
That means unlimited portions of carb clouds delivered hot to your table in a chef-created sauce of your choice, with the roaring Indian Ocean as your backdrop. If there’s a better way to spend a Thursday evening in winter, we haven’t heard it.
The Guildford Hotel’s Bottomless BBQ

If you’re not already familiar with Thomas, The Guildford Hotel’s on-site smoker, consider the Bottomless BBQ your formal introduction. On select Fridays throughout winter, the Guildford pitmasters are firing up globe-trotting barbecue feasts with saucy slow-cooked meats, hearty sides, plus free-flowing house wines and tap beers, all for $89 per person.
Hungry diners get 90 minutes to go ham on the smoky spread and sips, with each event spotlighting a different regional BBQ style. The world tour starts with Caribbean Jerk BBQ on 12 June and a fiery Mexican BBQ edition on 10 July. Thomas, we salute you.
The Court’s Drag Brunch
This is brunch fit for a queen. Replacing sleepy cafe catch-ups with sequins, sass and spritzes, The Court’s Drag Brunch turns your standard winter Saturday arvo into two hours of full-throttle fabulousness for $95 per person.
Expect free-flowing wines, house cocktails, back-to-back drag performances, a solid spread of finger food, and games that escalate quicker than you can say "if you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?!”
The Duke’s Carvery Roast

If Sundays in winter are synonymous with one thing, it’s good ol’ fashioned roasts, and few do it better than Carramar’s polished pub, The Duke.
On offer is a generous buffet piled high with crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, seasonal veggies, rich gravy and freshly sliced succulent meats carved to order with care. It’s available every Sunday from 11.30am, and yours for just $38. Sunday plans sorted.
The Claremont’s Après Ski Long Lunch
Euro trip not happening this year? Fear not, The Claremont is bringing the French Alps to you. Each Saturday from 1 to 3pm, the ‘Mont rooftop transforms into an après ski long lunch, filling the European holiday-sized void with flowing spritzes, mulled wine, warm cider and crisp beers, paired with Alpine-inspired dishes to keep you toasty.
There’s even a dedicated garnish station so you can tweak your spritzes as the afternoon goes on, and your frequent flyer points won’t take a hit. This whole event will on set you back $89pp, or $60pp for food only.
Lil's Lasagne Roll Special

When the Celsius drops, Lil’s Rooftop & Bar lasagne roll might just be the ultimate comfort dish. Silky-smooth béchamel, molten cheese and layers upon layers of seasoned mince are rolled up into a neat, saucy cylinder, arriving at your table bubbling, rich and ready to be devoured.
Secure your slab Monday to Wednesday, lunch or dinner, for just $28. This is the dish you’ll be dreaming about long after winter’s gone.
Hungry yet? We’ve still got a few months of winter ahead, so you may as well pull up a seat at the table and lean into it. Download The Pass app, claim your $10 welcome credit, and let the cold-weather plans take care of themselves.
