Perth’s Best Ramen Joints To Warm You Up
Ramen has well and truly earned its cult status—comforting, flavour-packed and endlessly customisable, all in one bowl. From deep, slow-simmered tonkotsu to lighter shoyu and miso broths, there’s a style for every craving and every kind of noodle lover.
Whether you’re chasing something deeply savoury or a lighter, slurpable fix, Perth/Boorloo is stacked with spots doing it right. Here’s where to find the best ramen in Perth.
Ramen Keisuke
33 Milligan St, Perth WA 6000

A global name when it comes to ramen, Ramen Keisuke has brought its globally loved bowls to Perth. Founded by celebrity chef Keisuke Takeda, each serve is built on a tonkotsu broth simmered for hours, paired with noodles and flavours you can tailor to your liking.
Prefer your noodles firmer? Want to dial back the heat? Easy done. They’ve got the customisation down to a fine art—and if you’re dining in, expect a few extras like complimentary boiled eggs and bean sprouts to round things out.
Komatsu
G12/10 William St, Fremantle WA 6160

Dosukoi built a cult following at the Fremantle Markets, so when they closed up and reopened in the FOMO precinct as Komatsu, we followed without question. The new spot keeps things just as budget-friendly, with bowls starting from a very easy $12.50.
Expect a solid lineup of options topped with the likes of prawn dumplings, Japanese fried chicken, soft sliced pork and fresh leek, alongside your choice of soy, miso or salt-based broths. It’s big on flavour, low on spend, and exactly the kind of spot you’ll keep coming back to.
Ageto Ramen
4, 41 Burrendah Blvd, Willetton WA 6155

Ageto Ramen is home to Perth's first (and only, that we know of) matcha ramen. The frothy vivid green broth is not going to be everyone's thing, but if you're up for something different, it's well worth a try. Just think: savoury matcha latte, underpinned by an umami-esque flavour profile. Otherwise, the tonkatsu and black garlic ramen are both absolutely banging, so you'll have no problem wiping those bowls clean.
Bariuma
Applecross, East Victoria Park, Karrinyup & Perth CBD

Literally meaning “super tasty” in Japanese, Bariuma has fast become one of our all-time favourite spots for a hot bowl of ramen—and it seems the rest of Perth agrees. With four locations now under its belt, the lines still regularly spill out the door, and we can see why.
Their signature bowl heroing a rich shoyu broth comes loaded with perfectly cooked noodles, a gooey egg and grilled chashu that’ll have you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished.
Super Souper Ramen
200 Karrinyup Rd, Karrinyup WA 6018

From the same team behind the popular Super Testsudo sushi train restaurants, Super Souper Ramen serves huge bowls of Hakata-style (i.e. pork bone broth) ramen and noodles made from scratch in your choice of hardness. You'll find a good range of broths and new world flavours to choose from—from tonkotsu and black garlic shoyu to the iconic yuzo shio ramen. If you love a bit of heat, though, we'd suggest tucking into a bowl of the chef's spicy ramen, with a special blend of fiery chilli oil and pork miso.
Tosaka Ramen
305 William St, Northbridge WA 6003

If you’re a ramen fan who doesn’t mind a little garlic—actually, make that a lot—you’ll want to slurp your way through Tosaka Ramen’s creamy, black garlic tori paitan. This chicken-based broth is the lighter cousin to tonkotsu, but still packs plenty of flavour.
Tosaka offers a few standout variations, each stacked with toppings like chicken chashu, spring onion and boiled egg. It’s bold, comforting and guaranteed to hit the spot.

Hakata Gensuke
East Victoria Park & Northbridge

If you didn’t already know, Hakata in Japan is the birthplace of tonkotsu ramen—so it’s no surprise Hakata Gensuke is doing it properly at their East Vic Park spot. Made to a closely guarded recipe, expect a deeply flavoursome pork broth, tender chashu and those signature thin noodles made for slurping.
If you’re leaning more towards chicken, head to their Northbridge spot instead, where you’ll find favourites like Black Tori and God Fire reworked with chicken-based broths.
Nao
Perth

An OG on Perth’s ramen scene, Nao is the kind of spot you head straight to when the craving hits. Their house-made noodles are a big part of the draw, with options like white (original egg), red (chilli-infused), green (spinach) and black (squid ink), all made fresh daily.
Pair them with your pick of hearty broths—soy, miso, salty or spicy miso—then dig into a bowl full of classics like sliced chashu, bamboo shoots, seaweed, bean sprouts and spring onion. From there, you can pile on extra toppings to make it your own.
Ten and Sen
747 Newcastle St, Leederville WA 6007
Ten and Sen has firmly earned its place in Perth’s ramen lineup, known for its Hokkaido-inspired approach and bold, warming flavours.
Expect rich miso-based broths layered with aromatic spices, paired with wavy egg noodles in true Sapporo style. It’s a little different from the usual ramen offering around town—deeper, spicier and perfect when the temperature drops.
IPPUDO
Carousel and Perth

IPPUDO has been dishing out top-tier ramen in Japan since 1985, so it’s safe to say they know what they’re doing. While there’s plenty to choose from, we keep coming back to the traditional bowl—especially when you can load it up with extras. If you’re in the mood to switch things up, there are richer, spicier options too, with additions like garlic oil or spicy minced pork miso bringing the heat.
Ramen Samurai
Unit 3/902 Albany Hwy, East Victoria Park WA 6101

Image credit: Ramen Samurai | Instagram
Ramen Samurai is serving up some seriously good bowls, with fresh noodles that more than live up to the hype. The spicy miso is a standout, loaded with chashu, egg, corn, menma, black fungus, seaweed and leek. The black garlic ramen is another solid pick—rich, punchy and well worth a try.
Kai
Bull Creek
Kai might be tiny, but it’s serving up seriously good ramen. Choose between a miso or tonkotsu (pork bone) broth and be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak times—it’s popular for a reason. Each bowl comes topped with an egg (always a win), and the broth is up there with some of the best in Perth.
