14 Best Farm Stays In WA For Your 2026 Rural Escape
What better way to take a load off than by chucking on your gumboots and embracing the outdoors with the best WA farm stay?
Like a loyal sheepdog (but with a little less of a penchant for running) we’ve rounded up the best farm stays from the Perth Hills to Denmark and everything in between.
Practice your hay baling; we’re hitting the paddocks. Here are some of the best farm stays in WA.
Scott River East | Sleeps 2
Dunmore Homestead Cottage
A farm stay's not a proper farm stay without actual animals to greet, and at Dunmore Homestead Cottage you get cows, chooks and even a donkey to shoot the breeze with during your stay. You're welcome to collect eggs and veggies fresh from the garden too, which is pretty cool.
This beautiful WA cottage is surrounded by untouched nature and overlooks the Scott River flats. Pack those comfy shoes, because are bush walks nearby for exploring, as well as 4WD tracks and fishing spots. Plus, your Airbnb sits on the edge of D'Entrecasteaux National Park and only an hour away from many south west towns, so there's heaps more to see and do.
Nannup | Sleeps 2
Sylvie's Hut
What about a serene WA farm stay with the best outdoor bath for soaks under the stars with your favourite one? (And yup, the tub here fits two). Sylvie's Hut is a cosy Airbnb stay in the Blackwood Valley less than three hours' south of Perth.
Bring the marshmallows because there's a cracking fire to toast them on (the uber cute Mini Meg indoor woodburner came all the way from New Zealand and adds a gorgeous touch to the indoors), plus you're just a minute's drive from the town of Nannup so if you need to stock up on stuff there's no dramas.
If you're not sipping on something tasty and gazing at the livestock grazing in the nearby fields from bar top on the verandah, we expect you might be gathered around the outdoor fire pit or firing up the barbecue. With the directions from your hosts, you might even be exploring a private area of the Blackwood River that can accessed right from your font gate.
Burnside | Sleeps 5
Burnside Organic Farm
The picturesque Burnside Organic Farm is an oasis tucked away in Margaret River, WA. With vineyards, orchards, a kitchen garden and a beehive all open to explore on the property, this Airbnb offers a fully immersive farm stay experience. There are two beautiful bungalows nestled away on the farm—one has its own outdoor tub, and one has an indoor spa overlooking the gardens.
At Burnside, you can get hands-on and help hosts Jamie and Lara feed the animals and pick veggies from the garden, learning about what produce is in season. If you’re keen to truly get into the swing of farm life, you can even hop on a Private Farm Tour, exploring the whole farm and sampling their biodynamic wine and fresh produce. Of course, you can always just soak up the atmosphere from the tub if that's more your style.
Beerlerup | Sleeps 2
Little Hop House
Nestled between rolling hills on a working hop farm, Little Hop House does a WA winter getaway better than most. You’ll find the charming little one-bed stay in Beerlerup, a stone's throw from Donnybrook and about an hour away from Dunsborough.
Spend your day exploring scenic nature trails and tracking down the cute farmland critters that call the property home or head out to explore the amazing local producers of the region. At night you can sink into your private outdoor tub with a glass of wine or light the little fire inside and cosy up with Netflix on the couch.
Forest Grove | Sleeps 2
The Cabin Margaret River
Say hello to your very own off-grid cabin set on 75 acres of working farm and bushland just 15 minutes from the heart of Margaret River town. This WA farm stay will give you all the serene feels, while being close to good food, wineries and beaches—which in our books means bliss.
Your accommodation is built from local timber and gives cosy ski lodge energy. Take to the tempting outdoor bath and shower and get all refreshed while drinking in some serious views of nature. There's a patio bar to sip a G&T at, and an outdoor fire pit for cosying up around later. An added plus, is the fact this place is dog-friendly on request too.
Yallingup | Sleeps 2
Petit Eco Cabin
Perfect for a romantic getaway or a solo trip to treat-yo-self, this quaint timber cabin is the ideal place to unwind with a glass of vino. Nestled within an organic WA vineyard called Windows Estate (quite convenient, we think), this cabin’s rustic bathtub sits under eucalyptus trees and faces a serene lake.
We think you’ll find it hard to resist the urge to ‘gram this tub—especially when you’re lying back with a glass of red in hand.
Kalgan | Sleeps 2
River's End Retreat
This mighty little shipping container is proof that good things do indeed come in small packages. Your self-contained WA tiny home is nestled on a 30-acre working farm and was lovingly created from up-cycled materials, including Red Gum timber milled on the property. It's a stay to come to for a spot of slow living: expect to see sheep, alpacas and horses grazing in the nearby paddocks and easy access to walking trails and beaches too.
Throw a banger on the barbecue and take to the outdoor deck where you can keep an eye on the sizzling while enjoying a lovely river view. Bayonet Head Woolies is just ten minutes away if you need some mash to go with it, and your superstar hosts provide eggs from their free-range hens for you to use too. After you've eaten your fill, we reckon a mooch down to the fire pit is probably in order. It's the best spot to chill as you watch the sun set.
Foxdale | Sleeps 4
Foxtrot Flats Farm
When you think WA farm stay, you're probably not thinking architecturally designed, rainfall shower and modern kitchen. But that's exactly what you can expect at Foxtrot Flats Farm.
The unassuming contemporary home has been masterfully finished so you could happily just stay curled up inside. But given the spacious undercover verandah and 45 acres of farmland to explore, that seems like a waste. Go for a walk, give the goats a pat—they love to make new friends.
Quinninup | Sleeps 4
The Grove At Ryans Rest
This tiny farm stay in Quinninup is the perfect spot to slow down and reconnect with yourself, nature and that nice bottle of red you’ve been saving for a special occasion. The special occasion being that you’re in a tiny house on a beautiful farm, equipped with a candlelit, woodfired bath.
It’s the perfect end to a day exploring the three-kilometre walking trail through river, lake and farm landscapes.
Nannup | Sleeps 2
Cleves Hut
From the peeps behind Sylvie's Hut comes Cleves Hut, a lush little valley on the banks of the Blackwood River. It's a damn romantic spot to slow down and connect with nature and the 100% off grid cabin is surrounded by grazing cattle and other wildlife—much of which you can watch pass by from your bedroom.
You won't find a tellie or wifi here, but they've assured us there is phone reception so go ahead and hotspot it if you can't cope without the internet. They've also got a Bluetooth speaker so you can soundtrack your stay with ease, plus board games to keep you entertained. The true showstopper here though is the gorg outdoor bath for two—it's completely private so you can just as easily enjoy a soak in the sunshine or by starlight. Stunning!
Winnejup | Sleeps 6
Dalmore Estate
One of Bridgetown’s oldest family farms, Dalmore Estate oozes old-school charm. The cottage sits on a large hillside property complete with a pool, gardens, and a few friendly animals wandering about.
Mornings are best spent doing yoga on the lawn or exploring nearby trails (after you’ve had your coffee, of course), while nights are made for fireside chats and red wine. It’s rustic, relaxed, and the kind of stay that reminds you why putting the phone down and slowing down feels so good.
Yallingup | Sleeps 2+
Petra Olive Oil Estate
Petra Olive Oil Estate is a boutique olive grove close to Yallingup, WA, and not only can you browse their collection of extra virgin olive oils, delicatessen delights and skincare in their farm shop, but you can cosy up in their luxurious chalets.
Overlooking olive groves, landscaped dams and gardens, there are three glorious chalets to choose from. All are dog-friendly and fitted out with comfy beds, outdoor patios and large windows, so the whole living area is bathed in natural light. With exposed granite and timber finishings, these gorgeous chalets are going to be hard to leave.
Denmark | Sleeps 4
Karri Chalet
If you’re wanting to get back to nature and ground yourself, this WA farm stay is for you. Set in the Scotsdale Valley, close to many wineries and restaurants, this beautiful chalet overlooks rolling green paddocks and dams on one side, and 50 acres of karri forest and walking trails on the other side.
You’ll be sharing the farm with friendly alpacas, goats, sheep and cattle, which you can help feed and get to know during your stay, plus you can bring your own Furry One with you too as the retreat is proudly dog-friendly.
Carmel | Sleeps 2
Mairiposa
Escape to the Perth Hills and find a home away from home among the plum and gum trees at Mairiposa. This rustic farm stay is newly built and offers some lovely little extras city-dwellers will love. Trundle on in and get unpacked before heading out to pick fresh produce from the fruit orchard (season dependent). There’s fresh eggs to collect from the resident hens too, or you could just settle in by the fire pit and breathe in all that serenity.
Your Airbnb is part of a barn conversion and is set over two levels. Expect an open-plan living space with a full kitchen and wood fire for cooler months. Bring your picnic basket and a cheese platter because all areas of the farm are open for you to wander. And we reckon there’s nothing better than a nibble and a glass of the good stuff with a lovely leafy view.
