The last month of winter is upon us but the sun is still shining and we're still the luckiest state in all of Australia, if not the world. So make the most of the good times and get out and about to celebrate this August.

Do you want to learn some artistic skills in the comfort of your own home, sip on some coffee cocktails or dance the night away in Northbridge? We’ve got you covered with what’s going on in Perth this August.

Fable Fire & Feast

Saturday 1 August

Brought to you by the legends at Core Cider House, Fable, Fire and Feast is hitting the hills on Saturday 1 August. Along with toasty mulled cider and an orchard bonfire, there’ll be hearty eats, a live band, fire twirlers and dancers to get you celebrating another successful harvest. The event is based on the old pagan practice of casting away evil and festival-goers are encouraged to dress in their best medieval garb and dance around the bonfire while banging pots and pans. It’s something you’ve got to do at least once in your life.

Sip And Learn

Thursday 6 & 13 August

Your place

Bombay Sapphire is collaborating with local Australian artists for a virtual ‘Sip & Learn’ session to ignite your creative side at home. Collage artist Maximilian Malone, and visual artist Ngaio Parr will teach you some epic new artistic skills as you, of course, sip on your favourite Bombay Sapphire cocktail. Sessions are via Zoom with Malone on Thursday 6 August 7pm and with Parr on Thursday 13 August 6.30pm

Whiskey Night At The Stables

The Stables is hosting a killer night out for all you whisky drinkers out there. For $120, you get to sip away on four whiskey tasters featuring some of Scotland and Ireland’s most historic whiskeys, all while enjoying a four-course menu and a couple of cocktails. Did we mention this will all be happening as you sit by the Stables’ fireplace.
