Bargain Food Marketplace App Too Good To Go Is Now In Sydney
Sydney has scored a new way to nab bargain goodies with the arrival of Too Good To Go, the Danish B-Corp app that lets you divert surplus food from landfill while helping businesses to reduce costs from wastage.
Its arrival comes after a hugely successful Aussie launch in Melbourne, where more than 150 bakeries, cafes, restaurants, grocery stores and other food businesses offer prepared food, fresh produce and baked items in their Surprise Bags, which vary in price but guarantee a bargain.
The app kicks mega goals in reducing food waste— a big win considering the more than 7.6 million tonnes of food, 70% of which is still edible, wasted in Australia every year.
You can now order Surprise Bags from as little as $6.99 in Sydney from local and national businesses including Surry Hills sandwich shop It’s Recess, Harris Farm Markets, Omeio Artisanal Deli and Tonton Bread. You can join Too Good To Go on the Apple App Store and Google Play and browse participating Sydney venues now.
