15 Surprisingly Affordable Banquets And Set Menus In Sydney Under $100 in 2026
If you want to dine out in Sydney/Eora without burning a hole in your wallet, banquets and set menus are the way to go.
Not only do they take the fuss and mental gymnastics out of ordering for large groups, but restaurants also pack their set menus with their very best dishes. Plus, you can also expect limited-time, seasonal additions to show up from time to time to really up the ante.
But the real reason we’re so fond of these curated dishes is the fact they generally end up costing far less than ordering à la carte. And in this cost-of-living crisis? We’ll take every cent we can save.
So, to ensure you’re getting your bang for your buck (as no set menu is created equal), we’ve compiled the best ones in Sydney, running day and night, that are all for under $100.
Whether you’re marking a special occasion, looking to impress on a high-stakes first date, or just craving a big feast IRL with your group chat, we’ve found the best ones to book - including ones that go for as low as $50 per person.

Grandfathers
10 Angel Place, Sydney CBD
Moody, dimly-lit, and unapologetically drenched in rich crimson hues. Grandfathers has a certain allure that just seems to work so perfectly in its Angel Place residence.
With a quick scan of its mega menu filled with familiar Cantonese flavours, you’ll find two banquet menus to choose from — however, it’s the $88 Golden Banquet we have our eyes set on. It’s perfect for large groups wanting a taster of the best bites in the house, with standouts including the Strange Flavour cold-cut chicken that swims in an addictive sesame oil and chilli concoction, and the succulent Peking-style pork ribs are a crowd-favourite for a reason.
If you have some wiggle room for that $100 per person budget, then the $138 Jade Banquet serves bolder dishes made for the refined palate. While walk-ins are welcome here, our advice is to always book in advance as weekend slots fill up fast. Book online.

Zushi
10/33 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo
You can hardly go wrong with Japanese, and this $88-per-person tasting menu from Zushi, featuring the freshest cuts of sashimi served alongside Barangaroo’s dazzling waterfront, seals the deal.
The menu starts off strong with their irresistible tuna tartlets - decorated with compressed cucumber, mandarin bonito jelly (the star of the show), chives and finished with a delicate sprinkle of bonito flakes. Other highlights include pan-seared Hokkaido scallops that sit in a creamy bed of cauliflower puree drizzled with an umami miso butter bisque.
This menu doesn’t include dessert, but with plenty of options in the area, you can grab a scoop of gourmet-style ice cream around the corner at Riverano. However, if you were to stay for dessert (good choice), the miso caramel profiteroles are delightful. Book online.

Ito
413-415 Crown Street, Surry Hills
It’s crazy that a one-hatted restaurant in Sydney is slinging set menus under $100 per person — but whatever restaurant-dining-luck we’ve found ourselves in, we’ll be indulging in all the goodness at Ito.
For just $89 per person, you’ll get seven delectable dishes — notably the Hiramasa kingfish. And before you start rolling your eyes at another kingfish dish, Ito’s rendition is fresh, sweet, and bursting with umami in every buttery slice. And the white ponzu soy it’s swimming in? So insanely good.
Smoky wagyu skewers act as a familiar bite before you get stuck into a saucy bowl of shiitake noodles that’s topped with a generous dusting of sharp pecorino and freshly cracked black pepper. To the untrained eye, it looks like any other pasta dish, but it’s the miso depth and chewy bite that catches you off guard (in a good way). Book online.

Erin
1 Rich Street, Marrickville
Gelato Messina’s experimental restaurant and wine bar, Erin, serves unexpected gelato flavours (that you won’t find at any of Messina’s other stores) in each dish. It sources all of its fruits, veggies, milk and beef from Gelato Messina’s dairy farm in Erindale—hence the name Erin.
We strongly recommend the $89 per person six-course sharing banquet to get a taste of the menu’s best. Think miso-vegemite toast with gelato brioche drizzled with molasses honey, beef tartare with foie gras gelato, and evoo gelato served in a buttery gnocchi dish. And yes, there’s always room for dessert – a yoghurt and yuzu gelato to finish the night with something more ‘traditional’. Book online.
