After all, as we here at Urban List know from personal experience, the more you put into a theme, the more fun you have, so you'd better get a costume sorted stat. Brisbane has a ton of fancy dress shops that can help you find the perfect outfit or some accessories to add to things you have at home. Here’s our pick of Brisbane’s best costume shops for some serious dress up cred.

Clothing has been split into eras like 70s, 80s and 90s and there’s a great range of accessories (new and used). You might pay a little more than to hire a costume, but you’re sure to find something a bit different, and you’ll have the added feel good factor.

They've been around since 1983, so they've got a sizeable back catalogue, and even ship Australia-wide.
