Just 50 minutes from Perth, Mandurah is known for its picturesque beaches, tranquil canals and laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for a relaxing day trip. And with its stunning waterfront views as a backdrop to cosy cafes and irresistible baked goods, Mandurah's breakfast scene has plenty worth hopping out of bed early for.
For nothing but the best, here are our favourite cafes in Mandurah.
Mataya Eatery
20 Sholl St, Mandurah WA 6210

For a touch of tropical paradise, step through the coral pink doors of Mataya Eatery, a cafe passionate about supporting local growers and businesses. The menu changes on the reg, but you can expect goodies like house baked bread, acai bowls and flaky pastries, all served alongside Will & Co coffee. If the savoury crumpets with jalapenos and tequila relish are on the menu, we say it’s a no brainer.
Lily Paris
4 Zephyr Mews, Mandurah WA 6210
French food for breakfast? Yes please. Lily Paris dishes out a mouth-watering selection of tasty breakfast treats including sweet and savoury crepes, an oozy croque madame (aka an uber fancy ham and cheese toasted sandwich) and loaded omelettes. The piece de resistance? French toast made with buttery croissants, fresh oranges, orange puree, salted caramel sauce, vanilla cream and walnut crumbs.
Frisky Deer Interiors & Cafe
12 San Polo Vista, Mandurah WA 6210

Part cafe, part jaw-droppingly good homewares and fashion store, The Frisky Deer needs to be added to your Mandurah itinerary stat. Founder and owner Dee sources both local and international products to bring the very best textiles, baskets, ceramics, skincare and clothing to the west coast and we couldn’t be more thankful. Coffee is by Humblebee and the cakes are baked fresh by Dee’s insanely talented sister, with recipes passed down from generations.
Frothin Coffee
99 Pinjarra Rd, Mandurah WA 6210
Frothin Coffee is a godsend in the world of caffeine. The good folk (and total coffee nerds) here roast beans in an Italian woodfired roaster and use a traditional lever machine for their shots. The result is pure perfection. Our advice? Do not leave without bringing a bag of your fave beans home—drip, single origin, blends and decaf—they’ve got it all.
Coffee Cove
8 Sholl St, Mandurah WA 6210

This cafe may be the sweetest we’ve ever laid eyes on with its charming interiors, sunflower painted wall and array of sweet and savoury treats. No matter the flavour, the muffins are to die for, along with croissants, homemade sausage rolls, bagels, slices, wraps and sandwiches. The coffee is spot on too.

Wood & Stone Cafe
2/38 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah WA 6210
For a hearty all day brekky, Wood & Stone is where it’s at. We recommend starting with a cuppa before perusing the menu - it will be a tough choice. If health is on the cards, the woody bowl with poached eggs, beetroot hummus, grains, kale and black beans will have you feeling all sorts of good. For people like us that are all for some indulgence, the waffles with southern fried chicken, bacon, smoked South West honey and whipped butter has to be the only option.
DPM Cafe
4/14 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah WA 6210

This hole in the wall cafe overlooking the foreshore waters is home to some of the best brews in Mandurah and beyond. The menu is small but what it lacks in variety, it more than makes up for in quality and flavour. Dishes include a pimped avo with eggs, cream cheese and dukkah, a breakfast muffin, cream cheese and jalapeno bagel and chia pots. The cold brew is worth a spot on your roster too.
Tree of Life Cafe
31 Sholl St, Mandurah WA 6210
Breakfast at Tree of Life is a rite of passage in Mandurah. There’s a whole heap to choose from so we’ll get right to it. The candy bacon with maple syrup, homemade chilli jam, poached eggs, avo and salsa verde served on artisan bread is a winner as are the toasted corn and chilli fritters and apple crumble pancake stack. Bring a friend who likes to share.
SIP
5 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah WA 6210

This gorgeous little cafe has some seriously good eats and oh-so-pretty Instagrammable drinks. You guessed it—the strawberry matcha features heavily. You can get your hands on full to the brim bagels, smashed avo with feta, Biscoff topped smoothie bowls and groundbreaking cakes.
Cool Eats
3/52 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah WA 6210
The aim of the game is fast food with flair at Cool Eats where you can grab a bite to eat and Yahava coffee as you look out over the crystal clear waters of Mandurah’s foreshore. For food, take your pick from toasted turkish rolls to avo on toast and bacon and egg rolls. This place is totally casual and we’re 100% here for it.
