Where To Drink Mulled Wine In Perth

There are some people who will tell you that the best beverage to curl up with on a cold winter's night is a mug of hot tea.

Those people are wrong, and they are also a little bit lame. Because we all know that the best drink to enjoy on a winter's evening is a mug of mulled wine.

Oh yes. The delicious combination of cinnamon, cloves, star anise and orange zest, all swirling around in your mug of warmed red wine. It's an aromatic taste sensation, and not to mention a darn good way to stay toasty on a cold night.

So instead of cranking your heater up this winter, head to one of these bars and warm up with some of Perth's best mulled wine.

Petition Wine Bar & Merchant

Leave the city streets and warm up with a glass of delicious and spicy mulled wine this winter, available Wednesday to Sunday at Petition Wine Bar and the Postal Hall in the State Buildings.

Percy Flint

South Fremantle

Get yourself to Percy Flint nice and early so you can nab a spot by the fireplace and settle in for an evening of all the mulled wine you can drink. Word on the street is that these guys do a mean mulled cider too. Win!

The Guildford Hotel

Served up in nice big mason jars, The Guildford's mulled wine has a hint of rosemary and cinnamon and goes perfectly with their delish pub grub.

We all know Benny’s is good for a cracker of a Saturday night where you dance to old school beats until 3am and end up at Nick’s Kebabs. But did you know it’s also good for mulled wine? Benny's have some of the delicious warm spicy stuff behind the bar at the moment that is well worth a try. Kebab afterwards is optional.

The Cabin

Mount Hawthorn

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a bar more perfect for a winter’s night than The Cabin. Reminiscent of a ski-lodge, this place is perfect for a cheeky beverage on a chilly evening. Curl up by their fireplace with a glass of their mulled wine and pretend you’re in the Alps.

Comet Pizza

Shut the front door! Comet Pizza not only serves amazing meatballs and pizza, they also now offer delish mulled wine to wash it all down. With star anise and cinnamon, this is winter feels in a glass!

Mrs Brown Bar

North Fremantle

Probably one of the cosiest, comfiest and most inviting bars in all the land, North Freo gem Mrs Brown Bar is sealing the deal this winter with their mulled wine. Settle into one of Mrs Browns’ comfy chairs and enjoy.

The Globe

You can get a warming glass of the good stuff at uber-cool The Globe at 140 in the CBD. So central and very conveniently located near Perth Underground, why not pop in and warm up a glass of mulled wine after work before your train ride home? We promise it will keep you nice and warm on your commute.

Five Bar

Mount Lawley

One of Perth's cosiest bars, Five Bar is serving the cosiest beverage again this winter. Curl up in one of their big comfy leather armchairs with a glass of rosemary and cranberry mulled wine and enjoy.

Lot 20

Describing themselves as Perth’s friendliest bar, Lot 20 just got a whole lot friendlier. These guys have delicious mulled wine brewing behind their bar, with apples, oranges and whole cinnamon quills mixed with their superb red.

BONUS! Rodney's Bait N Tackle

Mosman Park

Ok, it's not mulled wine. So sue us. The merry crew at Rodney's Bait n Tackle are doing hot rum with homemade spiced cocoa butter and falernum (that's spiced rum syrup to you and me), plus more rum and coconut water. Yes, yes, yes!
