Now that we are all well and truly back into the swing of things (RIP holidays), it’s time to treat yourself this weekend. Go on, let’s just pretend it’s the holidays all over again. 

Take your pick of cinemas this week, with a luxe newbie or outdoor screen under the stars, or surround yourself with good vibes at a festival-inspired club, reggae tribute night or outdoor concert series. Once the partying is out of the way, hit up a manifestation workshop and transform your life, then adopt the fur baby of your dreams..

This foodie initiative is making big moves to end world hunger, and it all starts today! How does it work? Well, The Hunger Project's A Table To End Hunger has teamed up with a selection of Australia’s best restaurants to save you a (usually very tricky to lock down) seat—all you have to do is bid for it! So yep, turning your V-Day date into a noble act of charity is straight-up that easy: bid on a table, eat, change the world, and don’t forget to take your make up off before bed—all in a day's work, really. $5 Movie Tickets @ Palace Cinemas

Central Park Mall’s new luxe cinema is slinging $5 movie tickets all week long and guys, the fun doesn’t stop there. Your ticket will not only score you a seat in Palace Cinema’s super comfy lounge seats, but you’ll also score a glass of prosecco and bottomless popcorn. We repeat. Bottomless popcorn. How often do you get to drown yourself in popcorn with a glass of bubbles in hand while watching the hottest flicks? Exactly. Head here to book a seat.

Moonlight Cinema

Bring the fam or head down with your BFFs for a movie under the stars—picnic rugs are essential and insect repellent is recommended. Food and bevs are on offer via the LA-inspired food truck which is serving up cheesy sliders and fries plus booze, though BYO is also an option. They have everyone’s favourite flicks covered, from old school classics like Back to the Future, to the latest blockbusters including Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Head here to grab tickets.

Corporate Social Impact Challenge

It’s time to put your thinking cap on because this event will challenge you to the max. We’re talking about a philanthropy-driven shark tank, put on by philanthropic company Purposed, aiming to find a solution to a problem our world is facing. Oh yeah, it’s presenter’s choice on which social issue they’d like to tackle. A panel made up of the very best in the ‘giving’ area (think medicine, philanthropy and social impact oragnisations) will determine the best proposal of the day. The winner will be award a very special surprise from the Sharks, and it’ll be followed with a tipple and chat with others in the industry. Remember to dress to impress at this one. Nightclub Spin Ride For Pride

Sydney’s favourite fitness hub, Flow Athletic, is bringing to you possibly the sweatiest nightclub evening you’ve ever experienced. In a good way. The one-hour class will take place at Home The Venue, known for its loud beats (read: LOUD), laser lights, smoke machines and now, spin classes. If there is one thing we can pretty much guarantee, it’s that you’ll need to hydrate like mad because these people are serious about sweating. The Argyle Summer Series

When you head to the final installment of The Argyle’s Summer Series, expect allll the festival vibes and then some. A desert theme will take over the venue, becoming your ultimate Coachella-inspired haven. Of course, the cocktails will be as fiery as your dance moves, and to set the night off, Throttle, Jesabel and Mike Champion’s will be supplying the tunes. Head here for more info.

Zeta Summer BBQ

Everyone loves an Aussie BBQ, and the team at Zeta Bar seriously know how to put on a spread. Drop by for top-notch eats prepared by some of the best in the biz, served to you right on the outdoor terrace. Look out over Sydney’s CBD, indulge in Zeta’s gourmet eats and, go on, have a glass of vino or two. Details here

Distillery Degustation Dinner

Back by popular demand, the Manly Spirit Co. is teaming up with local chef Arum Nixon for a four-course dinner, paired with specially crafted cocktails for their Distillery Degustation. This month’s dinner is focused around fragrant botanicals – think plants, herbs and spices, in particular those used by Manly Spirit Co. to create their gins and vodkas. Now we’re talking. Nixon will be using these flavours in the dishes as well, so expect a match made in heaven. Head here to book your table, places are filling fast so get in quickly.

Twilight At Taronga

This week kicks of the Twilight at Taronga series and they’re definitely delivering the goods with the first show. The Jezabels, supported by Stella Donnelly, will take to the stage and the rest of the lineup is just as impressive. While jamming out under the stars, you’ll most definitely need fuel for all the dancing and, of course, they’ve thought of that too. Think gourmet food hampers filled with charcuterie and cheese boards, rice paper rolls, salads and desserts (duh). Plus, a Belvedere cocktail bar will be on site, 4 Pines Brewery will be delivering the craft beer and did we mention the frosé? Well, yeah that’ll be there too. More info here

PETstock: National Pet Adoption Day. 

If you’ve ever had a pet you know all too well just how darn cute and life-completing (it’s a thing) they are. This Sunday is National Pet Adoption Day and PETstock is setting out to find every rescue pet a loving home by raising awareness of pet adoption with the help of PetRescue. The incredible PETstock team make the process of adopting a pet as smooth as possible, providing mini-bios of the animal’s behaviour and personality, so those who may not have the time to train a puppy or kitten know exactly what their new bundle of joy is all about beforehand.
