Yes, unfortunately the long weekend is about to come to an end (and we won’t get another one until October). Don’t fret, Sydney hasn’t failed us on the “fun things to do” side of things so listen up, here’s what to do this week in Sydney to help you avoid those post-long-weekend blues (it’s a thing).
League of Extraordinary Women: Health & Entrepreneurship
Are you a female entrepreneur or thinking of starting your own business? The League of Extraordinary Women has teamed up with Lululemon to create a health inspired meet up where you can meet and chat to other female entrepreneurs and share your experiences. This amazing opportunity to have real conversations with other great women will be hosted by Emma Sharley plus three guest speakers, including Kate Kendall of Flow Athletic, who will kick things off with a guided meditation.

Whisky & Cheese Matching At Della Hyde
Now we know you can’t go wrong with pairing wine and cheese, but if you are feeling like a little bit of a change, how about whisky and cheese? Della Hyde, as part of their Della Apres-Ski month, will be holding a whisky and cheese matching night this Wednesday. Learn about unexpected combos (while tasting them, of course) and come out of the experience with a bit more whisky and cheese knowledge.

T2 Chai Central Pop-up
In winter we become tea addicts here at the Urban List, and thankfully T2 has answered our prayers and is transforming their Westfield Sydney store into a Chai haven. T2 has partnered with Space Between and Paperform to create a tea lover’s pop-up centralised around our fave winter tea, chai. There will be a Chai Brew Bar making endless Chai concoctions and the opportunity to DIY Chai and create your own special blend of Chai and take it home.

Vivid is continuing Sydney’s burger obsession and has created an arcade gaming themed burger bar in the middle of Martin Place! Five of Sydney’s best burger joints (Pub Life Kitchen, Mary’s, Bangbang Café, Sammy’s Burger Bar and Milk Bar by Café Ish) have created bespoke burgers for this special event. To cast your vote in this friendly battle of the burgs, all you have to do is hashtag your favourite burger and these will automatically be featured on a live action vintage TV scoreboard.

Groove Therapy 101
Dancing, we believe, is one of the best therapies, as it is scientifically proven to help with your mental wellbeing, not just your fitness and flexibility. Groove Therapy is a dance class that is designed to make you feel good about yourself, while also stimulating your brain to improve memory and coordination. These open hip-hop classes are for absolutely everyone, where you will learn how to kill it on the d-floor.
