Five Awesome Things To Do This Week In Sydney

By Alice I'Anson - 07 Nov 2016

While most people are hanging out for the weekend, here at The Urban List we live for the weekdays– well, most of the time. Whether you’re keen to keep it clean, just chill or get your groove on we’ve got you sorted.

Remember, every day is one day close to the weekend so catch ya later Mondayitis, there’s five seriously awesome things to do in Sydney this week.

Swing Dance Classes At Swinging Cat

One of Sydney’s best New Orleans inspired bars is upping its dance game with a free swing dance class this Monday night. Learn to bust a move and swing those hips to some swish AF 1920s jazz tunes. You can go solo, or gather your crew, just as long as you head on down nice and early to the Swinging Cat. After the class sip on one of the Swinging Cats signature cocktails, or loosen up a little and try one before.

Seinfeld Tuesdays @ Tuxedo

Every Tuesday, the glorious espresso martini kings at Tuxedo will be serving up chicken burgers and espresso martinis for you to you devour while watching episode after episode of Seinfeld on a big projector. They'll be Seinfeld trivia and more, so keep your Tuesday night free and see if Kenny comes back.

Waterloo Screening At 107 Projects

Tuesday is never up there when it comes to a favourite day of the week. That’s where 107 Projects comes in. To break up your working week, 107 Projects in Redfern is screening Waterloo, a documentary telling the story of the battle by inner Sydney residents trying to save the area and fight for their homes. Entry is by donation so give back to the arts and get a little bit cultured while you do it.

Walsh Bay Arts Table

Think alfresco dining, under a warm, summer night’s sky, and the Walsh Bay Arts Table dinner is exactly what you’re after. And yes, it’s super grammable. The event will combine five top chefs from the Walsh Bay dining precinct, Pier One Sydney Harbour, View by Sydney, Simmer on the Bay, Sydney Dance Lounge and Walsh Bay Kitchen— we know, yum. So prepare your pallets for the five-course degustation and with wines to match, you know what to do.
