We've found the best Sydney Valentine's Day dinners and more for Wednesday 14 February that are guaranteed to turn on the romance, from fine dining menus to low-key neighbourhood favourites.

Bistro George

Their four-course set menu spotlights native Australian produce with dishes like Albacore tuna with native finger lime, black lime and heirloom radish, pan-roasted Murray Cod with salted egg sauce, lemon myrtle and yellow squash, and a heart-shaped vanilla flan for something sweet.

A’Mare

Ripples is putting on a Valentine’s Day lunch and dinner this year, with a la carte and set menu options. Enjoy carefully curated modern Australian fare which will include kingfish crudo, halloumi tiropita, crispy pork belly and fresh pasta.

The dinner set menu comes to $149pp with optional upgrades and a private dining experience.

For every person who dines on Kyiv Social’s Valentine’s Day menu (which includes a glass of sparkling on arrival, kingfish crudo, cheesy dumplings and a Ukrainian dessert) the venue will donate two meals to people in need in Australia and two in Ukraine.

Kittyhawk

16 Phillip Lane, Sydney CBD

Take your special someone to Kittyhawk this year if you think they’ll like a four-course set menu inspired by modern French cuisine.

Start with a glass of bubbles and oysters before delving into seven dishes curated by chef Leonard Michaud, including salmon rillette, Yamba prawns, baked WA scallops and Wagyu tenderloin. The set menu is $100pp with the option to pair wines for $65pp.

Cho Cho San

73 Macleay St, Potts Point

Cho Cho San is celebrating Valentine's Day all day, offering a special set menu for $95pp, or the option to go a la carte if your heart's set on enjoying your favourite dishes. You can even opt to add on a glass of Taittinger or a premium red rose waiting for you on arrival... slick.

I Maccheroni

3 Jersey Road, Woollahra

Enjoy Italian flair this Valentine's Day at I Maccheroni. For $79pp you can pick three courses from their entire menu—so you could go for the likes of burrata topped with figs, prosciutto and walnut, and the cacio e pepe spaghettoni served tableside in the cheese wheel, followed by a limoncello cheesecake. You can upgrade to wine pairings for $50pp too.

Bar Lucia

For a romantic Spanish spread, Bar Lucia is serving up a special menu featuring Sydney rock oysters, lobster or rabbit paella, jamon Iberico croquettes plus a curated selection of tapas. The special $115pp menu comes with a glass of champagne and the option to peruse their extensive wine list with a focus on innovative female winemakers.

Chin Chin

69 Commonwealth Street, Surry Hills

Turn up the heat at date night favourite Chin Chin with their Valentine’s Day Feed Me feasts. Dishing up three different feasts, priced at $110pp, $130pp or $150pp, you can expect the classics like kingfish sashimi and grilled chicken panang curry, while also trying their one-off specials: Coffin Bay oysters with red nam jim, BBQ sambal prawns, and more.

Beau

There'll be live music and add-ons including caviar, oysters and indulgent sides will also be available to ensure it's a special celebration.

Pearl

Quay Quarter Tower, 50 Bridge Street, Sydney

Cantonese favourite Pearl is dishing it up with an eight-course set menu made up of dishes including Appellation oysters, Hokkaido scallops, lobster dumplings, Glacier 51 toothfish in XO sauce, and salt and pepper Wagyu tri-tip with black truffle sauce. Enjoy the scrumptious food and sweeping views for $168pp.

Parlar

Potts Point fine diner Parlar has you covered this Valentine’s Day with a romantic Catalonian dinner. Intimate yet luxurious, you can expect caviar tacos, king prawns and petit fours in the mix, along with a glass of champagne on arrival for $175pp.

Odd Culture is entering the season of love with a banquet that nods to some of their favourites, while also playing on summer staples with their signature twist. Expect a dreamy dinner, punctuated by a glass of champagne on arrival, stracciatella with smoked tomato jam and miso tapenade, koji-roasted chicken congee with black garlic and yolk sauce, and a chocolate semifreddo finale for $120pp.

NOMAD Sydney

16 Foster Street, Surry Hills

NOMAD is putting it on for Valentine's Day this year with a share-style set menu and glass of champagne on arrival for $185pp. Experience their signature modern Middle Eastern flavours with an Australian touch, which will look something like Kangaroo kibbeh nayyeh with barley cracker and macadamia, and the beloved wood-fired flatbread with Persian lime and wattle seed za'atar.

Martinez

50 Bridge Street, Sydney CBD

Experience a slice of the south of France with a romantic lunch or dinner at Martinez, which channels the breezy dining and drinking culture of southern France and the Mediterranean coast. The lunch set menu is $99pp for four courses while the dinner includes additional dishes plus loved-up optional extras for $149pp.

Bar Patron

2 Phillip Street, Sydney CBD

Dial up the romance with a modern five-course Mexican menu, Patron margaritas and spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour. Bar Patron is pulling out all the stops with their $89pp Valentine's Day menu featuring guacamole with burnt cashew and morita oil, scallop ceviche, mulloway asado and more.

Finish your meal with a tequila-spiced sponge cake with dulce de leche, and then keep the night going with their drinks list brimming with premium Patron tequila.

Loulou Bistro

61 Lavender Street, Milsons Point

When it comes to romance, the city of love is the place you want to be—and you can experience Paris at Loulou over their three-course Valentine’s Day menu. For $125pp, enjoy pomme dauphines and carpaccio de boeuf with crème de raifort, pommes frites, mousse au chocolat with roasted hazelnut and petit madeleines, and more. Plus, you get a glass of Moet on the house with the option to add oysters, caviar and cheese.

The Charles Grand Brasserie

Feel the spark with a bit of glitz and glam this V-Day. European grand brasserie The Charles has designed a delightfully sophisticated dining experience for you and your Valentine. Begin with a glass of Moet before enjoying a three-course menu for $165pp. 

For the main event, you'll fall for a spatchcock pithivier with morels a la crème and sides of sugar plum tomatoes with smoked yoghurt and butter lettuce dressed in honey vinaigrette.

North Bondi Fish

Celebrate by the glistening seaside with fresh seafood and bubbles. North Bondi Fish is giving us a Valentine’s Day special which includes a three-course set menu for dinner and a glass of champagne on arrival for $140pp. 

Bobby’s

6R The Esplanade, Cronulla

With a signature cocktail and the crowd favourite pavlova on offer, newly opened beachfront stunner Bobby’s is going all out on the romance. Enjoy a three-course menu featuring the likes of stracciatella and hazelnut focaccia, grilled octopus, and pan-fried barramundi along with your complimentary cocktail for $115pp.

Cardea Bar

1/300 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo

Red velvet booths, chandeliers and jazz await you at Cardea. Revel in the romantic ambience and enjoy their shared menu, live music and uniquely crafted cocktails for $135pp. 

Grana

5-7 Young Street, Sydney CBD

Enjoy a stylish and contemporary Italian feast with Grana’s set menu. Charming laneway restaurant Dear Sainte Eloise is offering a $120pp Valentine's Day menu this year, with bookings available from 6pm. Expect oysters, whipped buffalo curd and anchovies, roe-topped fish with beurre blanc sauce, and a chocolate tart to finish, accompanied with your selections from their expansive wine list.

Easy Tiger

182 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach

Impress your lover with an extravagant eight-course set menu for just $89pp at Easy Tiger. The shared  menu includes reimagined classics from across Asia, from Hokkaido scallop and prawn spring rolls to Phnom Penh-style soft shell crab, Balinese-style crispy duck Maryland and wok-fried Shanghai noodles with prawn, brown butter and black garlic.

Anason

Enjoy a romantic evening at Turkish favourite Anason for Valentine's Day this year. Their seafood-focused menu for the occasion includes Sydney rock oysters, tarama on toast with salmon roe, king prawn kebab and Murray Cod served with pipis and green olives for $125pp.

ESQ At The QVB

ESQ’s Valentine’s Day special this year will amp up the love with the works: a set menu, live jazz music, roses and chocolate. Indulge in oysters, steaks and the most decadent desserts alongside romantic tunes in a candle-lit speakeasy. The $160pp menu also has plenty of vegan and gluten free options, so you can be sure to find something you and your date will love.

Gowings

Share a kiss with your lover at Gowings. Their decadent dessert, The Kiss, features a raspberry rippled poached Italian meringue served with a generous pour of Italian hot chocolate and finished with beetroot dust. Premium seafood restaurant Flying Fish is offering their a la carte menu that spotlights Australian and New Zealand seafood on Valentine's Day, with a few memorable specials on the cards as well.

The jewel of the night will be a  spread of Appellation oysters with sparkling rose and fiinger lime, Jervis Bay mussels with fermented chilli and macadamia, Abrolhos Island scallops with cultured cream and pickled desert lime, Sand crab with cured egg yolk and saltbush, poached tiger prawns with blood lime and chilli, and bay lobster with sunrise lime mayo for $175pp.

The Squire's Landing

If their love language is sweet treats—let Humble Bakery do all the talking for you this Valentine's Day. The Surry Hills and Circular Quay bakery has just dropped a Valentine's Day collection, which you can mix and match into the ultimate box of love-laced goodies. 

Heart shapes are having a little moment in fashion and food styling right now, and Humble is clearly in on the trend. As well as love heart lamingtons, there are also heart-shaped red velvet mini cakes topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and heart-shaped shortbread cookies covered in pink and red icing. Pre-order for pick up between Wednesday 7 and Wednesday 14 February.
