It goes without saying, but Franklin Road needs to be the very first stop on your Christmas lights trail! Auckland’s famously festive street comes to life with lights and live music and yes, it is all it’s hyped up to be!

Karaka Lakes

Karaka

Karaka Lakes is getting into the Christmas spirit and it's some of the best in Auckland. Look out for the house at 20 Cornwall Place that’ll be putting on a light show every night right up ‘til Christmas Eve.

Christmas Lights House

Pukekohe

Situated at 25 Prospect Terrace in Pukekohe, this aptly named Christmas Lights House has enough Christmas spirit for the whole street. And by Christmas spirit we mean stellar lights, a coffee van, and the Big Man himself: Mr Santa Claus. Hot choccy and Christmas carols anyone?

Torbay Christmas Lights Display

Torbay

Make the most of New Zealand’s summery Christmas and get away from the bustling city lights. Instead, head to this North Shore paradise set to raise money for Starship Childrens Hospital. That's our kinda Chrissy spirit, big ups Torbay.

Kensington Park

Orewa

Wind your way through the streets of this little community with big Christmas spirit. Kensington Park has a unique resort feel with boardwalks, beachy houses, and palm trees, which all look pretty spectacular with the twinkling lights around. Plus on the 18, 19 and 20th there will be drinks and nibbles to devour alongside the sparkles.

Sky Tower Christmas Wonderland

Auckland City

Auckland's most iconic building is jumping on the Christmas bandwagon, repping red and green lights for the entire festive month. Plus, head to the Christmas Wonderland under the Sky Tower to catch the giant Christmas tree, a twinkling carousel and a gingerbread house—yum!

Dannemora Lights

Dannemora

Blowing other Chrissy displays out the window, the Dannemora Lights display not only boasts epic twinkling lights, but a snow machine too (!!). Plus on selected nights, ol' mate Santa will be making an appearance so kids, come eqipped with those Chrissy wishlists.

Christmas Night Rides

Rainbow's End

Boosting around on a roller coaster with a view of Chrissy lights beneath? What a dream. Rainbow's End's night rides are back for every Saturday evening through December. Candy floss, night rides and twinkling lights until 11pm, hell yeeeees.

MOTAT

Pt Chevalier

Lights, elves, Christmas treats, carols and magical movies will be sure to get you into the Christmas spirit at MOTAT this year. Even the tram will be lit up and running! For just $2 you can give a little light to someone else’s Christmas, as all the money goes to the Auckland City Mission and the Auckland Women’s Refuge.
