For as long as we can remember, Franklin Road never fails to deliver and glow up for December which has made it an annual tradition for families in Auckland.
Karaka Lakes is getting into the Christmas spirit and it's some of the best in Auckland. Although the infamous 20 Cornwall Place is taking a break from their usual epic light and music show, other residences in the area are lighting it up this festive season.
Torbay Christmas Lights Display
Make the most of New Zealand’s summery Christmas and get away from the bustling city lights. Instead, head to this North Shore paradise set to raise money for Starship Children's Hospital. Torbay is glowing from the December 16, all the way until Christmas from 8:30pm - 10:30pm every night.
Howick Christmas Lights Wonderland
Head on over to the East side of Auckland because Howick Village is bringing back their annual Midnight Madness from mid-December until Christmas Eve. Howick Lions Cluband the Howick Village Lights Charitable Trust transform Fencible Walk Park into a Christmas wonderland and it only costs you a $2 coin donation.
Sky Tower Christmas Wonderland
Auckland's most iconic building is jumping on the Christmas bandwagon, repping red and green lights for the entire festive month. Plus, head to the Christmas Wonderland under the Sky Tower to catch the giant Christmas tree, a twinkling carousel and sleighs for you to sit in and get your Christmas Instagram shot.
Christmas Night Rides
Boosting around on a roller coaster with a view of Chrissy lights beneath? What a dream. Rainbow's End's night rides are back for every Saturday evening through December. Candy floss, night rides and twinkling lights until 11pm.
Lights, elves, Christmas treats, carols and magical movies will be sure to get you into the Christmas spirit at MOTAT this year. Even the tram will be lit up and running. For just $2 you can give a little light to someone else’s Christmas, as all the money goes to the Auckland City Mission and the Auckland Women’s Refuge.
