Golly gosh! Four days into March madness and we are already in love. As we hail goodbye to summer (sad face), we look forward to welcoming the best of autumn with this season’s first Brisbane Market Calendar. Hurrah!

If you’re looking for markets in Brisbane, we’ve got you covered. Here’s the hit list of Brisbane’s best markets this March.

Lifestyle markets

Newmarket Creative Markets | Brisbane market scene newbies, The Newmarket Creative Markets are perfecto for a Sunday morning market caper. Check out the great range of food stalls, unique jewellery and fashions, handmade goods and fresh cut flowers, plus a kids play area and live music for a super chilled vibe.

When: 1st Sunday of every month, 8am-12pm
Where: Behind the Newmarket Bowls Club, 202 Ashgrove Avenue, Ashgrove

Fortitude Valley Markets | Looking shmick is all in a day’s work for the newly-revamped Fortitude Valley Markets, sprawled across Brunswick Street Mall and Chinatown Mall. Maintaining their rep’ as one of Brisbane’s must-do markets, the food stalls are on point, while the beautiful boho’ homewares, vintage fashion pieces, jewellery and curios, all from local designers are a shopper’s dream.

Where: Brunswick Street Mall | Fortitude Valley 
When: Every Friday 3pm-12am, Saturday 9am-4pm 5pm-12am, Sunday 9am-3pm

Boundary Street Markets | West End faves, and hugely popular weekend meeting point, Boundary Street Markets have the day to night thing nailed! Jewellery stalls, homewares, antiques, pop-up clothing stores, original artworks, and a whole lot of atmosphere come to life every week inside the industrial shell that is the Absoe Building. When: Every Friday 4:00pm – 10:00pm, Saturday 10:00am – 10:00pm and Sunday 9:00am – 4:00pm

South Bank Collective Market | South Bank Collective Markets are doing the market thing right with a plethora of unique jewellery, homewares, fashion, and artisan products from local designers, artists and producers. Make a day of it and hit one of South Bank’s many bars and restaurants after you’ve raided the stalls. 

Where: Stanley Street Plaza | South Bank
When: Friday 5:00pm – 9:00pm Saturday 10:00am – 9:00pm and Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm

Young Designers Market | So many young, cool designers in Brisbane, so little time! See the best of this city’s up and coming artists and designers at this monthly market full of one-off pieces for your wardrobe or home.

Where: Little Stanley Street | South Bank
When: First Sunday of every month 10:00am – 4:00pm

Suitcase Rummage | The fun is in the hunt, and Suitcase Rummage is the place to uncover diamonds in the rough. Not for the faint-heartead, you’ll feel like a winner when you take home your treasures.

Where: Reddacliff Place | Queen Street in Brisbane CBD

When: First and third Sunday of every month 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Night Markets

Love Your Local Twilight Markets | On for two glorious nights a month, Love Your Local Twilight markets is a meeting ground for some of the best food trucks in Brisbane, and boy do they bring the goods. Stretchy pants recommended for this doozy.

Where: Hawthorne Park | Hawthorne Road in Hawthorne 

When: First and third Friday of every month 4:00pm  – 8:30pm

Eat Street Markets | If you haven’t been to Eat Street Markets, then we’re sorry, but you can’t call yourself a real Brisbane local! So much delicious chow—wood fired pizzas, American hot wings, cronuts, Korean BBQ and everything in-between—you’ll be having palpitations trying to decide.

Where: Macarthur Avenue, Hamilton

When: Friday 4:00pm – 10:00pm, Saturday 4:00pm – 10:00pm

Boundary Street’s Market Lane Night Markets | The Boundary Street’s Night Markets are hawker-style stalls serving up scrummy food, live entertainment and live music gigs at The Motor Room—plus an onsite bar too! With pop-up stalls, and an easygoing vibe, and gigs by some of Australia’s best alternative musicians, this night market combines all the best bits of a good night out—and we’re in love.

Where: Absoe Building | Cnr Boundary & Mollison Street

When: Every Saturday, until 10pm

Flower Market

Brisbane Flower Market | If you love flowers, then you need to get your butt to Rocklea. So many seasonal and imported blooms to choose from, we recommend setting that alarm early, you’ll be fighting the rest of Brisbane’s flower lovers to these floral beauties.

Where: Sherwood Road | Rocklea

When: Monday - Friday 5:00am - 3:00pm, Saturday 6:00am - 1:00pm

Food / Produce Markets

Love Your Local 'Off The Green' Coorparoo Market | Love Your Local can’t be stopped at night markets, no sir-ee. Every Sunday, they get their fruit and veg’ on so you can do your weekly shop, and nosh on Brisbane’s best food truck fare while doing it.

Where: Coorparoo Bowls Club

When: Sunday 6th 12:00pm - 6:00pm

Eat, Bake, Grow Markets | The Eat, Bake Grow Markets is quickly developing a reputation for the spot for fresh, local and free-range produce. You’ll need the biggest basket you own to cram full of all the goodies at this market!

When: 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, from 7am – 12pm
Where: Mount Cotton State School

Kelvin Grove Village Markets | A student fave for its fresh, affordable produce and pantry products, the KGVM is a Brisbane markets winner for the weekly shopping. Plus: you can stuff you face with fresh pastries, and sip on great coffee while you pick up your weekly groceries. Sorry supermarket chains, you’re beat.

The Gap Farmers Markets | Meet the producers who make and grow your food face-to-face while stocking your pantry and fridge. Specialising in locally sourced fruit and veggies, The Gap Farmers Markets does a mean coffee and brekky, too.

Where: Hilder Road State School, The Gap
When: The 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month, 6:30am-11:00am

Carseldine Farmers Markets | Northsiders have spoken and this baby is a fave! Carseldine Farmers Markets are big on fresh produce, fresh baked bread, fashion and homewares plus artisan coffee and products; too much good stuff for just one trip.

Where: The Old QUT Campus, 532 Beams Road, Carseldine

When: Every Saturday 6am-12pm

Eagle Farm Markets | Another market institution, Eagle Farm is still one of the best. Plenty of stalls for perusing, coffee to be sipped and breakfast to be eaten! Oh, and did we mention the fruit and veg’ too?

Where: Eagle Farm Racecourse | Lancaster Road in Ascot
When: Every Sunday 7:00am - 12:30pm

Cleveland Village Farmers Markets | Seaside market shopping is the best, and this market has it all. Find all your fresh groceries, homewares, as well as arts and crafts at this cute Brisbane market, then grab a coffee at one of the cafes in town.

Where: Cnr Bloomfield St and Middle St, Cleveland

When: Every Sunday 7am-1pm

Davies Park Market (West End Market) | A classic West End market with all the trimmings, and a lovely jacaranda-covered, riverside location. Fresh local produce, as well as a great spot for a breakfast on the go.

When: Every Saturday 6:00am - 2:00pm

Nundah Fresh Farmer's Markets | Early bird gets the fresh seafood and meat haul, which is a Nundah markets speciality! Pick up fruit and veg, freshly baked cakes, pastries and sweet treats.

Where: Nundah Train Station

When: Every Sunday 6:00am – midday

Urban Producers & Co Market | Your fridge will thank you for stocking it with such delightful wares, after visiting this bayside gem! So much fresh produce and great pantry items at this Brisbane market, you wont’ know what to do with yourself.

Where: Redlands Performing Arts Centre | Middle Street, Cleveland 
When: Every Saturday 7:00am- 1:00pm

Northey Street City Farm Organic Market | Hold the panic, everything at Northey Street is organic, and it’s still on of the best spots to pick up your weekly shop. If you are a home gardening noob (or expert), the Northey Street crew can help you out there, too.

Moggill Markets | A good vibe is essential for a good market, and Moggill Markets has it in spades. Our favourite country escape just outside the city turns it on twice a month so you can do your fruit and veg’ shop in style.

Where: Brookfield State School | Boscombe Road in Brookfield

When: First and third Saturday of every month 6:30am - 11:00am

Brisbane Rocklea Saturday Fresh Market | One of the oldest markets in Brisbane, Rocklea’s Saturday market brings the goods, every damn weekend! Get your hands on piles and piles of fresh fruit and veg’ plus great brekky and coffee to start the day like a champ.

Where: Sherwood Road | Rocklea

When: Every Saturday 6:00am – midday

Produce By The Pier | How many markets can say they are dedicated to sustainable living in Brisbane? Not many but Produce By The Pier can and you’ll find the freshest fruit and veg as well as some delicious gourmet food products, great tea and coffee, as well as goodies that are kind to the environment.

Where: Broadwater Parklands | Southport

When: Every Saturday 8:00am – 2:00pm

Jan Power’s Farmers Market | Brisbane’s love affair with Jan Powers markets continues; its four city locations are still a super safe bet to find all your fruit and veggies, meats and seafood, plus locally sourced deli and pantry goods.

Where: Reddacliff Place | Queen Street in Brisbane CBD

When: Every Wednesday 10:00am - 6:00pm

Boggo Road Markets | What’s the formula for an awesome weekend markets, you ask? You’ll have to ask the crew behing Boggo Road Markets who have this marketeering thing down pat. Every Sunday, Brisbane’s best producers and farmers pull up to sell their wares, and help you get sorted for the week. Check ‘em out!
