Boom Boom Room 


Down below Donna Chang, the Boom Boom Room is so named because it’s built on the site of a bank vault. They offer a few different rooms and packages for various events and for an office shindig we recommend The Vaults. Playing off the history of the building, this luxe space can provide cocktail style service for up to 30 guests. For larger groups, you can book the Trumpet room for 40 or the Bankers Lounge which can serve up to 60 guests. Christ do we love options. 

Miss Kay's Prohibition Library Bar


You might not have heard of Miss Kay’s clandestine bar and for good reason. Modelled on speakeasies of the Prohibition era, this space is tucked away up on the third level of Miss Kay’s George Street digs, and is decorated with bookshelves to dupe the authorities into thinking it’s a library when actually it’s a function space with capacity for up to 100 guests. 

Little Big House 

South Brisbane

The best licensed house party in Brisbane, Little Big House is multi-levelled shrine to the Sunshine State. Decked out with free karaoke, a cracking menu of revamped pub grub and a drinks list to compliment the tropical climate perfectly, LBH has plenty of attractions to allow you to choose your own adventure and can cater to all group sizes from small social gatherings to bigger corporate functions. 

Newstead Brewing Co.

Newstead and Paddington

Anyone who’s ever partied at a brewery will tell you is it The Place for a festive booze up. As one of Brisbane’s earliest adopters, Newstead Brewing’s craft operation has been wetting whistles in the 4006 since before the flood. Dutch Courage Officers’ Mess

If you’ve been through a bit of a heckin' year, Dutch Courage Officers’ Mess is a perfect spot to regroup with your fellows. With a keen specialty in gin-based cocktails, the drinks at Dutch are out of this world (available as a tab or in free-flowing quantities), and their food service is slightly glorious as well with a choice of canapes, platters, a la carte or banquet dining. 

B Lucky & Sons

If you’re after something a little different, tackle drinks and entertainment in one fell swoop and have your Christmas party at B Lucky & Sons. Located along Brunswick Street Mall in the TCB Building, B Lucky is an arcade bar that’s flush with games and libations of all varieties. Their event packages cater to all group sizes, featuring food and beverages and the freedom to run wild in their arcade. Giddy up. 

Savile Row

For a smaller groups, go for quality and have your Christmas drinks at Savile Row. Run by the same mixology masters behind Cobbler, Finney Isles and Death and Taxes, Savile Row is a dark and moody throwback to Prohibition, with slamming cocktails and a glittering chandelier to match. Super Whatnot 


If yours is the kind of team that likes a premium knock off on a Friday, the upstairs balcony at Super Whatnot is perfect for something familiar and a bit special. The space is at once intimate and vibing off the ambience from the rest of the bar, and the drinks are 11/10. 

The Wickham

The Wickham’s outdoor courtyard is the only place to be when the temps rise and the festivities kick in. Order their infamous burgers and pitchers to share, and then party the night away to a playlist of deadset bangers.
