Jan Power's Farmers Market

What a juggernaut the Jan Power's Farmers Markets are. With 5 sites around town, it's the market that just keeps on giving. So many reasons to go but amazing produce—bread, flowers, meats, fish and poultry—and a great atmosphere get us over the line. 

Where: Cnr Hudson and Albion Rd | Albion Mill

When: Fourth Sunday of every month 7:30am - 2pm

Where: Reddacliff Place | Queen Street in Brisbane CBD

When: Every Wednesday 10:00am - 6:00pm

Where: Brisbane Powerhouse | Lamington Street in New Farm

When: Second and fourth Saturday of every month 6:00am - 12:00pm

Where: Little Bayside Park | The Esplanade in Manly

When: Third Saturday of every month 6:00am - 12:00pm

Where: Blackwood Street in Mitchelton

When: First Sunday of every month 6:00am - 12:00pm

Eat Street Markets

Hamilton Wharf is luring the crowds in with these great—and popular—night markets, which are certainly making a (delicious) name for themselves. Built into shipping containers, Eat Street Markets runs every Friday and Saturday night and is reminiscent of an Asian street-food market: good food, cheap prices, and casual atmosphere.

Where: Macarthur Avenue, Hamilton

When: Every Friday and Saturday from 4:00pm – 10:00pm

Davies Park Market (West End Market)

One of the most established and popular markets on the Brisbane scene. Definitely one not to be missed for their fresh fruit and veg, unique fashion and gifts, one-off pieces, and a great range of multi-cultural food stalls and vans.

Where: Davies Park | Montague Road in West End

When: Every Saturday 6:00am - 2:00pm

Suitcase Rummage

Twice a month, you have the chance to make another man's (or woman's) trash, your treasure. Perfect for unearthing some vintage goodies and quirky bric-a-brac, the Suitcase Rummage is just the place for a quiet Sunday afternoon outing. 

Where: Reddacliff Place | Queen Street in Brisbane CBD

When: First and third Sunday of every month 12pm-5pm

Brisbane Flower Market

Flowers, flowers everywhere. Previously just the territory of the dedicated florist, the Brisbane Flower Market is now the city's worst kept secret on where to source affordable, good quality blooms for any occasion. Sold wholesale and retail, there are multiple vendors selling a huge range of local and imported varieties. 

Where: Sherwood Road | Rocklea

When: Monday - Friday 5:00am - 3:00pm, Saturday 6:00am - 1:00pm

Kelvin Grove Village Markets

The uni students love this one, and so do we. Head to Kelvin Grove every Sunday and say hi to our friends at Michael's Dumplings, Banneton, (and our faves Roost Coffee!) while picking up your fresh fruit and veg, or maybe, a new frock for your Saturday night.

Brisbane Valley Markets

Still kicking it in the heart of the Valley, the Brisbane Valley Markets are a wonderland of market-finds. Everything from unique jewellery, vinyl and clothing will set you up nicely for the weekend. 

Where: Chinatown and Brunswick Street Malls | Fortitude Valley

When: Every Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm, Every Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm

Eagle Farm Markets

Make sure you get yourself to the Eagle Farm Markets early, 'cause this is hot little spot for a Sunday morning breakfast before grabbing some fresh a Organic fruit and veg and gourmet deli delights. The jewellery and fashion selection is also a nice distraction!

When: Every Sunday 7:00am - 12:30pm

Moggill Markets

There are 'Farmer's Markets' and then there are Farmer's Markets. These are the latter. Local producers pull up stops here to sell their wares. Think fruit, veg, and an amazing range of local meats.

Where: Brookfield State School | Boscombe Road in Brookfield

When: First and third Saturday of every month 6:30am - 11:00am

Northey Street City Farm Organic Market

Definitely one for the early birds (they finish at 10:30am), head to Northey Street Markets to pick up all your organis fruit and veg, plus some other great products and gardening supplies.

When: Every Sunday 6:00am - 10:30am

Boggo Road Markets

It may have been one of the most notorious prisons in the Southern Hemisphere at one point, but now Boggo Road Jail is the site of happening little market, held every Sunday. Grab a coffee, something tasty to nibble on and listen to some sweet tunes as you cruise the stalls full of produce, homewares and garden supplies.

When: Every Sunday 7:00am - 1:00pm

Young Designers Market

Young designer's need your support and you can help out by heading to South Bank on the first Sunday of every month. Pretty much every category is represented, with women's fashion pieces, art, unique homewares, kids designs and furniture at every market.

Where: Little Stanley Street | South Bank

When: First Sunday of every month 10:00am - 4:00pm 

Produce By The Pier

A trip to the beach is an added bonus for these markets held twice a month. Think specialty wine, cheese, gourmet meats, and freshly grown fruit and vegetables — these Southport markets are worth the trip.

Where: Broadwater Parklands | Southport

When: Second and fourth Saturday of every month 7:00am – 12:00pm

South Bank Collective Market

The recently refreshed Collective Markets (previously the Lifestyle Markets) is home to a huge range of art, photography, designer fashion and accessories, homewares, jewellery, pop-up shops, vintage and recycled fashion, and collectables. Your arms will be aching from the haul!

Where: Stanley Street Plaza | South Bank

When: Saturday 10:00am - 9:00pm and Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm

West End Twilight Markets

Normally held every second and fourth Sunday of the month, the WETM is celebrating their last market for 2013 with a special Christmas-themed market. Head down for all the usual goodies plus some extra Christmas cheer!

Where: 113 Boundary Street | West End 

When: Every second and fourth Saturday of the month

Northside Lifestyle Markets

So much goodness at this north side markets it's hard to wrap it all up in a little paragraph. All the usual suspects (fresh produce and yummy food stalls), plus entertainment and activities for the whole family.

Where: 646 South Pine Road | Eatons Hill

When: Every Sunday 6:30am - 1:00pm 

Renegade Design Markets

This brand-spanking-new market pops up on 7th of December for one day to showcase the best of Queensland's creatives and provide them with a place to sell their wares. Drop in to Agnes Lane to sift through an Aladdin's cave of art and design for your collection.

Love Your Local Markets Hawthorne

Anything that supports local is fine by us so we were just a little bit stoked to hear about the Love Your Local Markets in Hawthorne. Get your fix of local food, coffee, vintage goods and handcrafted items plus a whole heap of entertainment and activities for the kids. Just in time for last minute Christmas shopping, too!

Bleeding Heart Cafe Christmas Market

Christmas is a great excuse to hold a market and the folks over at Bleeding Heart are holding their very own, one-off Christmas market. Grab a muffin and coffee from the café before perusing the eclectic collection of handmade and vintage art and craft stalls.
