Some of winter’s best seasonal produce is available right here in Melbourne, Listers! It would be an awful shame to let it go to waste. Luckily, we’ve put together a list of 10 of the best Melbourne markets in July (it’s not all food, don’t worryyyy).

Check out the Penny Black’s Black Market

One of Melbourne’s favourite pubs is hosting its own mini craft market this July! Get involved at The Penny Black on Saturday 4th July with delicate candles, terrariums, cards and prints on sale from 10am to 2pm. After some hard shopping yards, you can grab yourself a much-deserved afternoon pint. Or some of Penny Black’s infamous shots, if you’re starting the night particularly early.

Wine away at Cumulus Up. Wine City Cellar Door Market

For the classiest alcohol-centred event ever, swing by one of Melbourne’s best wine markets this July. Held in much-loved Cumulus Up on Saturday the 4th this month, work your way through some of Victoria’s finest producers at this free event. Wines are available at cellar door prices, so why not stock up on the red for winter?

Get your film fix at QVM Night Cinema and Market

Queen Victoria Market invites you to view some of this year’s best short films every Wednesday night this July. Each week will bring a new line up of films chosen by QVM’s very special guest presenters, which include VCA, ACMI and Triple R. The best bit? The Winter Night Market is just around the corner, so you’ll have the best access to some of Melbourne’s best food trucks all night long!

Live music at South Melbourne Market

Are you into a good atmosphere? Of course you are, who isn’t?! Enjoy live performances while you shop for your weekend groceries at the South Melbourne market this month! On the first two Saturdays of July, emerging Australian artists Gena Rose Bruce, Woodlock and Ben Whiting will be belting out their unique tunes on Cecil Street from 12pm to 2.30pm.

One of Melbourne’s biggest art and design markets will run from Friday evening on the 17th of July until Sunday the 19th. Food and music from upcoming artists will keep you going through the day, but Finders Keepers only pops up twice a year so don’t miss one of Melbourne’s best markets for winter!

The freshest produce at Fairfield Farmers Market

Visit Fairfield Farmers Market on the 3rd Saturday of the month, and you’re guaranteed to find some of the freshest groceries in Melbourne. One of this city’s best fresh produce markets, the Fairfield Market aims to support local Aussie farmers. Grab your free-range meats, handmade cheese and oils at Fairfield Primary School this July.

Bring the kids to Prahran’s Creators Market

Melbourne’s second Creators Market is launching at Prahran Town Hall on the 25th of July! Bring the whole family along to this massive event, featuring over 50 handmade crafters, artisans and culinary faves. The kids will be entertained for the day too, if you’re desperately running low on school holiday ideas. There’ll be toys, clothes, homewares and plenty of delectable homemade goods to bundle up in the car.
