The Auckland fashion boutique scene is booming right now, and with some of our favourite designers opening up shop we couldn’t be happier. There’s nothing quite like browsing through a curated selection of clothes, trying them on in beautiful fitting rooms with the added touch of top-notch service at your fingertips. It’s an experience that the old interwebs just can’t give you.

Whip out your wallet and slip on your shopping shoes because these are the best fashion boutiques in Auckland. You and your wardrobe can thank us later.

Lonely

Newmarket and Ponsonby

Lonely calls both Newmarket and Ponsonby their home, and their stores are just another reason why we love this brand. We adore the beautiful pale pink concrete walls, steel clothing rails and gold-accented shelves. It feels like a dreamland as soon as you step inside—what better place to indulge in some of the finest Kiwi-owned lingerie? Go on, you deserve it.

Muse Boutique

Newmarket and Ponsonby

A hot spot for Newmarket and Ponsonby locals is Muse Boutique, the first of its kind to stock internationally renowned designers. Say goodbye to paying import taxes on your favourite brands, now you can shop them in real life at Muse. Think Diane Von Furstenberg, Equipment, Nanushka, Self-Portrait, Theory and more. Have your credit cards at the ready ladies.

RUBY

Newmarket, Takapuna, CBD, Ponsonby

For the inner girly girl, RUBY is here to meet all of our needs. With four stores around Auckland, there’s no reason not to visit. The staff are always helpful and we think it's the best boutique to pick up some sensational threads for the weekend that will leave your friends gasping 'just WHERE did you get that?' From brunch to rooftop cocktails, Ruby has you sorted for every occasion.

Stirling Women

Sylvia Park

Attention activewear lovers, Stirling Women's boutique at Sylvia Park is your new go-to. Housing a list of our favourite sportswear designers, including Nike, Adidas, Aim'n, Tommy Sport and P.E Nation, it’s going to be difficult not to blow your rent in here.

WE’AR

Waiheke Island and Ponsonby

We can’t look past one of our favourite ethical clothing brands, WE’AR. The brand follows a strong environmental policy and produces 100% organic clothing, so looking after the planet is equally as important as making you look good. Located on Ponsonby Road and Waiheke Island, be sure to stop by for some feel-good shopping and some stretchy-as yoga pants.

Deadly Ponies

Ponsonby, Newmarket and Britomart

Deadly Ponies is the covetable handbag brand every girl is after and lucky for us, they have three Auckland stores. Even if you are just going for a browse before you spend your life savings, the interiors are worth the visit. Designer Liam Bowden brings the aesthetic of Romanian sculptor, Constantin Brancusi into his stores, with his bags artistically resting on towering geometric plinths.

Kate Sylvester

Britomart, Ponsonby and Newmarket

We can’t get enough of Kate Sylvester’s whimsical collections and often find ourselves lusting after every item on the rack. From floaty floral dresses to tailored suits and desert hues, there’s no denying we’re treating ourselves to some stylish threads this season. With a brand motto all about being slower, smaller and simpler we can guarantee that any special piece you pick up has been considerately designed, and 85% of her collections are made right here in New Zealand.

The Shelter

Ponsonby

We love the concept behind The Shelter, which not only is home to internationally renowned brands fashion like NOM*D, Taylor and Issey Miyake but also offers a selection of designer homewares to choose from. Better yet, the store boasts a café out the back so the dream of snacking and shopping is a reality.
