Movie goes sit in blue and white chairs as they watch a film on an outdoor screen in the day light

Cinema Peroni is back for a fifth year to lift our spirits, returning at a time when summer’s days are numbered. As we ready our minds and tans for seasons to come, fans of Italian film, food, drink can bid your farewells in one of the most stylish nights of the year, leaving you feeling as Happy as Larry Lazzaro.

Returning for five days from Wednesday 11 March to Saturday 14 March for a night of unrivalled elegance, Cinema Peroni is promising to delight your senses with a star-lit al fresco evening you won’t want to miss out on—and this time around, you don’t have to.

What was once an invite-only occasion, Cinema Peroni are opening the doors of its breath-taking outdoor cinema to the public for the final two nights. Those of us wanting to experience the best things Italy has to offer (film, food, drinks?!) in our own backyard—don’t be tardy, there are very, very limited tickets up for grabs.

Teaming up with Rialto to screen the winner of the Best Screenplay at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Happy as Lazzaro, Peroni are transforming Britomart’s Takutai square into a lavish open air cinema. Complete with an Italian inspired fit out and trimmings to boot, this is the closest thing you’re gonna get to Italy under the stars, unless you happen to be heading there yourself.

You’ll be pleased to know that on arrival, you’ll be greeted with a Peroni and aperitivo, followed by a bespoke three-course dinner courtesy of Executive Chef Andrew Hanson from Amano. Yes, that all sounds pretty epic, but the best part? You can sit back and relax as the entire meal is served to you in your seat whilst the drama plays out on screen.

If you’re reading this it’s too late and tickets have been devoured as quickly as Chef Hansons three-course meal, Peroni will be down at Takutai Square between 12pm and 2pm, sampling the new Peroni Libera, their first zero alcohol beer. Anyone and everyone over the age of 18 who would also like to come get lightly boozed with a Peroni and complimentary aperitivo alongside live music in the sun (sun permitting) can do so at Takutai Square from 4pm to 6.30pm.
