Don't Miss: New Zealand Fashion Weekend

Sass, strutting and signature styles. Why isn’t it August already?! We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to don our best glad rags and attempt to fit in amongst the fashion elite. Cue lights and paps everywhere. Yep, you guessed it, it’s New Zealand Fashion Weekend

Launching on Friday August 26th at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre, the weekend allows you to get amongst New Zealand Fashion Week. Our fave it girl Trelise Cooper will be kicking things off with an unmissable show. Expect to see the anticipated show of the year with sneaky peeks into her trans-seasonal, signature styles.

Not only will you be in complete awe and reaching for your credit card, you’ll be able to experience all this and more whilst surrounded by food, wine and—of course—fashion! Oh, and don’t be afraid to boogie on down to the jams of Auckland’s top DJs all evening.

Try to get some sleep and head on over on Saturday morning for the infamous designer pop-up sale. Did we just say “designer” and “sale” in the same sentence? Yes, yes we did. The ANZ Viaduct Events Centre will be filled with New Zealand’s favourite designer clothing, footwear and accessories—all for a fraction of the original retail price! Can we get an amen?

Want to be one of the first—if not the VERY first—in line for this glorious day? Grab a VIP ticket to avoid queuing and to ensure you are the first, fashion-savvy individual in prime position to bag a bargain. Move over, ladies!

Did we mention all this and more is happening on Sunday too? Do not fear if you can’t get out of your Saturday engagements—there will be plenty more garments and accessories to go round!

If that’s not enough to grab your attention, Saturday night boasts an evening centered around New Zealand favourite, WORLD. If you aren’t familiar with the brand, where have you been hiding? Stocked all over the world (pardon the pun), worn by everybody who’s anybody, and known for their elaborate and extravagant runway shows, these tickets are expected to sell like hot cakes—get in quick.

What else will the weekend bring? Get ready to witness some of the best seasonal shows, featuring looks from Federation, Radicool Kids, Resene Designer Runway, Ponsonby Presents, Fashion Quarterly, Miss FQ, NEXT, YMCA and NZ Weddings.

And prepare to start booking a trip to an island paradise as NZFW is showcasing SWIM. With a nod to the upcoming, warmer months, you’ll get to ogle at the latest men and women’s swimwear styles from Oceania’s best surf and high fashion swimwear labels. Think Emma Ford, Tigerlily, Billabong, Piha Swimwear and Moontide. Bring on summer!

Kiwi-born and bred Andrea Moore will also be attending, showcasing her spring/summer 2016 collection titled ‘No Guts No Glory’ to all you lucky attendees. As if one show wasn’t enough, her diffusion line, IAM will also present ‘White Oasis’. Prepare to leave this show inspired to wear vibrant colours, loud prints and patterns and a one-way ticket to one of her stores.

The weekend isn’t all about fashion, you know. The popular Beauty Hub returns and is bringing all things glitz and glam to satisfy all of your beauty needs. Expect to see an OPI nail bar, HITO hair styling bar and Glam eyelash applications. St Tropez will be imparting tanning advice and The Body Shop will be sharing their wisdom on perfecting the smokey eye.

What’s more, BeYu skincare and Beauty Temple will satisfy your skincare needs. Oh, and Smashbox will be giving us make-up lovers the chance to learn all the tips and tricks of the trade—directly from the experts themselves! Beauty geeks, rejoice!

NZFW promises a weekend jam-packed with runways shows, seminars galore, discount shopping opportunities, beauty hotspots, food, DJs…and not forgetting wine. So, what are you waiting for? If fashion and a glass of wine in hand sounds like a bloody good weekend, then boy, is this the place to be this August.
