From 10am on Saturday 19 December, Wellingtonians will be able to get their hands on the famous yellow-stitched boots at the brand new Dr Martens flagship store on Cuba Street.
Known for its edgy designs and rebellious attitude, the shoe brand sported by punks and princesses alike is the perfect fit for Wellington’s street of creative culture and urban style.
Featuring the largest range of men’s, women’s and kids’ styles available in New Zealand, including Originals, vegan styles and global collaborations, the new store is set to be a mecca for hard-core Docs lovers as well as recent converts.
As part of the opening day festivities, fans who snap up a new pair of Docs will have the chance to show their love for these iconic shoes by getting inked. For one day only, Dr. Martens is offering customers a free tattoo from Cuba Street Tattoo owner Grant Gebbie with every purchase of Docs they make that day (conditions apply). Nothing says real love like a new pair of 1460 Cherries and a matching tatt to boot (see what we did there).
In true Cuba Street fashion, the opening party will feature live music courtesy of local muso Crystal, who will be dropping beats for the shoe-crazy crowds from 1pm.
