If you’ve ever dreamed of going to a drive-in cinema—and frankly, who hasn’t?—now’s your chance. On November 26, Cinema at the Stadia will be turning Mt Smart Stadium into the country’s biggest drive in cinema.
They'll be screening The Italian Job on Thursday 26. What better way to experience a failure to 'only blow the bloody doors off' than on a really, really big screen–212 metres squared in fact (and the largest outdoor screen in Australasia just quietly).
Park up and tune your car radio into the bespoke FM station so you don’t miss a thing, but if sitting in your car doesn't float your boat you can enjoy the film al fresco with a bean bag and some blankets up front. Add to this a dining zone complete with a Little Creatures pop up bar and you've got yourself a (socially-distanced) night to remember.
This drive in movies are sure to sell out, so nab your tickets, pop the roof or jump on the bonnet and prepare for a cinema experience like no other.
