The beautiful gem that is Gemmayze St is known for being Auckland’s beautiful Lebanese eatery. What isn’t well known is that they host a not-for-profit dinner every Monday night named Everybody Eats.

A team of volunteer chefs and wait staff get together to deliver you a night of good food and company. This is a social movement raising awareness of the amount of perfectly good produce that is rejected and disposed by food suppliers, while many Aucklanders go hungry.

The idea of the evening is to serve a three-course meal created from rejected produce ingredients donated from various food sectors as reject. Based on their shape, size and colour the dinners aim is to feed the hungry. Nothing is put to waste with the food, but that doesn’t mean to expect anything less from the meals!

Everybody Eats invites you to join them and feed your belly while paying it forward. Dinner service runs from 6pm to 9pm—devour a three-course meal that is not only delicious but for a wonderful cause!

Following a pay-as-you-feel system, pay a little or pay a lot. You’re sure to have your mind blown away with the host chefs for this upcoming evening ‘The Cult Project.’ This culinary duo share the same no waste mentality to their cooking and will be adding a flare of their own to the meal. The pair may seem familiar from their pop up earlier this year at Racket Bar crafting experimental and sensational food.

Expect delicious and generous amount of food at these events. It’s a good time for a good cause!
