Famed for its exceptional Vietnamese cuisine, Café Hanoi has been on the scene for more than a decade and has recently moved into a bigger venue which some Aucklanders may remember as the old 1885 nightclub.
Take a peek inside and you’ll see that their fit-out has a similar look and feel to the space we've known and loved over the years but now comes complete with a separate bar, a new conservatory overlooking Galway Street which is now a plant-filled, pedestrian-friendly space and a soon-to-be-opened private dining room that seats twice as many people as its predecessor.
Once you’ve lapped up the new space it’s time to get amongst their epic Vietnamese-style charcuterie board complete with chua lua sausage, duck breast prosciutto, pork liver pate, pickled veggies and banh mi. Move on to feast on one of their lush mains like pork spare ribs, roast duck a l’orange or crispy soft-shelled crab with lemongrass and then indulge your sweet tooth with their exotic mille feuille with pandan creme. Whatever you do, don't leave here without trying a drink at their elegant new bar with a separate entrance. We’ll see you there!
