Our PM Jacinda Ardern encouraged us to check out our backyard when we moved into alert level three, and with many people taking advantage of all the terrestrial travel deals on offer, it’s time to check out of work and on to the next available flight with Jetstar’s epic Hello NZ sale.
If you missed the announcement yesterday, Jetstar is finally resuming travel around the country and are enticing Kiwis to burst their regional bubbles from July 1, dangling the carrot with some crazy good deals which are almost too good to be true.
With a handful of flights priced between $21 to $48, available travel destinations are yours for the taking with travel dates between July 1 and October 31 of this year.
But get in quick—this sale is only up until 11.59pm Wednesday 10 June or when the flights have been snapped up—whichever comes first.
If you think this sounds too good to be true, don’t you worry—we also shared those suspicions, but it all looks like it checks out. The only sad thing about this sale is that the Auckland to Christchurch flights are all but sold out, so as mentioned already, get in quick.
As of early Tuesday afternoon, some of the flights still up for grabs are Auckland to Wellington from $21, Dunedin to Auckland from $45, Christchurch to Wellington from $32, Queenstown to Auckland for $48 and heaps more.
These flights for sure won’t break the bank, but in case you purchased a flight on a whim and didn’t consult your boss or calendar, Jetstar is being a little more lenient post lockdown, allowing one fee-free date change for any flight booked between July 1 and October 31 of this year.
Rules around travel still apply during level one, like not catching the flight if you’ve been or are sick, so make sure you brush up on the dos and the don'ts of domestic travel. For more ease of mind, Jetstar are also offering free face masks for anyone wanting some peace of mind.
Fill your boots on the Jetstar website and happy, safe travels.
