Every suburb needs a friendly local and Forest is no doubt going to become just that for the locals of Epsom. Quaint and cosy, this new opening offers a trendy, minimalist fit-out and menu that will have you going back for more.
Situated in the Greewoods Corner shops, the liquid focus here is coffee, and boy do they know how to make a good brew. Supreme coffee is used for all their caffeinated bevvies, including an epic cold brew, which is exactly what you need for these warmer days.
On the food front, you’ll find all sorts of classic dishes. Think eggs bene, fluffy French toast and waffles. The acai bowl nails it on the presentation, complete with a flower, and is slurpable goodness in it’s finest form. Smashed avo with poached eggs and perfectly grilled bacon is always a winner, while their range of bagels will make your lunchtime all that bit better. Grilled halloumi and veges, anyone?
Owner Luke Kim has plans bubbling away in the kitchen to inject some Asian influence into his dishes. Originally from Korea, his team consist of a barista from Cambodia and a chef from Japan. We hear that Korean spiced pork burgers with a side tangy kimchi could be on the cards.
Forest is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. So whether you’re in dire need of a pick-me-up in coffee form, or after a simple bite to eat, you now know where to go!
