Mission Bay is now home to a new rooftop bar, Good George Craft House.
Known for their craft beer and ciders, Good George’s brews are a summer staple. Winning over Hamilton with their original brewpub and dining hall, they have since expanded into a full brewery, while opening a number of venues nationwide.
On Tamaki Drive, simply follow the rainbow stairs up to their Mission Bay venue, where you'll be greeted by Kiwi decor at its finest. The fit out, by CNTRL Space is filled with illustrations and exposed industrial fittings. Keeping things fresh, at the end of the sprawling bar you’ll see two beer tankers ensuring every pour is as fresh as possible.
Step out onto the deck to soak up some sun rays and take in one of the best views in Mission Bay. With a Kiwi beer in hand, what better way to spend a weekend afternoon or evening.
Speaking of beer, we recommend trying the IPA. This deep golden brew smells hoppy and heady, with a hint of tropical fruit. The juicy, pithy taste is followed by a lingering bitterness, best matched with the T-bone steak.
If cider is more your style, our top pick is rosé cider. Because rosé anything is never a bad idea, the blush-coloured cider smells of strawberry with hints of apple and lime. Sweet and sparkling with a tart twang, treat yourself to a glass this summer.
The food menu features pub classics done right. From small plates to mains, pizza and even a kids' menu, there’s a little something for everyone.
Completely loaded with topping, the chicken pizza is the perfect bar snack. Oozing mozzarella, brie with smoked chicken, bacon, red onion and brie, it’s futile to resist.
Or, opt for the hop corn chicken. Think golden, crunchy buttermilk chicken breast, crispy hop seasoning, and chipotle aioli. Heaven.
Already a local hotspot, head to Mission Bay's largest rooftop bar, sit back and relax.
