The CBD’s much-loved artisan store, Scarecrow has reopened on Victoria Street East and is here to stay. Scarecrow was originally a pop up store and café, but has now been transformed into a quiet metropolitan oasis—perfect for a healthy lunch, connecting with likeminded individuals, or picking up fresh ingredients for the evening’s dinner.
The urban farmer market-cum-gourmet kitchen stocks over 120 of Auckland’s artisan producers, and will be hosting a number of foodie workshops, community dinners, and educational chats about everyone’s favourite thing—food.
Owners, Alison and Paul Dyson aim to put to spotlight on all the wonderful local foodies, sharing the stories of each individual—from boutique wine makers, florists, cheese makers (cheeeese) and more. Ben Barton will be manning the kitchen, creating all sorts of delicious fare you won’t be able to resist!
Scarecrow is a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
