New Opening: Uncle Tetsu

Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Cheesecake is famous worldwide for their delightful soft and fluffy creations and they are finally coming to New Zealand to satisfy all of your Japanese cheesecake needs you didn’t even know you had.

Uncle Tetsu’s first opened in Fukuoka, Japan 27 years ago and quickly became ridiculously popular all over Asia—because well, cheese: good, cake: good. These aren’t just any old cheesecakes though, Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecakes are made with just seven quality ingredients, including love (we didn’t make that up guys, it’s on the ingredients list) which is just a little bit cute. What’s more important though is of course the taste! Super soft, light and fluffy, these Japanese treats are unlike anything you’ve ever tried—think more cakey, less cheesy and completely wonderful. Check ‘em out at their store in the Civic Theatre Building on Queens Street—you won’t be disappointed.
