Clear your calendar, because Westfield’s Taste. Shop. Play is back for another weekend of epic pop-ups brimming with drool-worthy eats, makeup tutorials and creative exhibits.
It’s all going down on Saturday and Sunday 21-22 September across four Westfields in Auckland. So, no matter your postcode or preference there’s sure to be something for everyone.
80s Comeback
With retro fashion trends gracing the catwalk, the resurfacing of mullets and Stranger Things taking the world by storm, it’s clear the 80s are having an epic resurgence. If you’ve been contemplating trying the trend out for size, the time is now, with a mass of 80s-inspired pop-ups about to surface near you.
If you’re looking to teleport back to a time when synths were big and hair was even bigger, head to Westfield Albany and take a trip down memory lane with a retro games arcade and in centre roaming retro fashion.
Westfield Manukau will also host their very own pop-up arcade with all your favourite 80s games as well as The World’s Largest Pacman, plus a live DJ with a light up dancefloor. But if you’re eager for more, make a beeline for Westfield Riccarton and test your skills in the retro roller rink or venture to Westfield St Lukes for a video game arcade complete with Pacman, Space Invaders, Puzzle Bobble and more.
Glam Station
Prepare to get glowing, as beauty pop-ups are about to take over New Zealand. Westfield Albany will be hosting a beauty bar complete with hair crimping and glitter stations, while Westfield Manukau will be making all of your beauty dreams come true with their Farmers Beauty Bar, reviving some of your most loved looks with on site tutorials.
Plus, Westfield Riccarton will boast an entire style lounge for you to perfect your look, while Westfield St Luke’s will be going all out with their hair crimping bar and tasting booth. It’s a resounding yes from us.
Like we needed another reason to hit the shops.
