People sample delicious whiskies.

Call us old-fashioned but nothing tops the chart like a glass of whisky to start or wind up an evening. And when it comes to fine whisky, House of Suntory is a name that has made its mark across the world.

You might want to fire up the group chat for this one as Suntory is hosting a masterclass completely dedicated to their top-shelf liquid sunshine. To celebrate the launch of their latest Chita Single Grain Whisky, for five nights only, Tommy’s Champagne Parlour in Seafarers building will be hosting a masterclass to take you on a journey of Suntory’s rich whisky distilleries with a highlight on The Chita – a mild, smooth, single grain whisky with unparalleled sophistication and a clean, clear finish.

Mixed whisky drinks with Japanese food in the background.

Prepare yourself for an evening with New Zealand House of Suntory brand ambassador Rory Donnelly who will indulge you in the whisky business as you are treated to an assortment of scrumptious shared dishes made by renowned Chef Yukio Ozeki of Azabu, designed to create a heavenly match.

The masterclass includes a Chita Highball on arrival, alongside a range of expressions including Hibiki Japanese Harmony, Yamazaki Distillers Reserve, Hakushu Distillers Reserve, Hakushu 12YO, and Toki. Enjoy it neat or on the rocks, either way, it’s definitely worth a shot. They’ll also have a limited stock of The Chita Single Malt Whisky for you to purchase on the night.

So, turn on steam as there are limited seats available. Each class costs $145pp and takes place Thursday 29th April, Friday 30th April, Thursday 6th May, Friday 14th May, Saturday 15th May. To make a booking click here.
