The Jefferson Becomes The Jane

The Jefferson is pretty much an expert at encapsulating whichever atmosphere it desires. From previous colourful ‘70s pop-up’s to pretty in pink underground bars, this whiskey bar has repeatedly been the talk of ol’ Auckland town. However this time, The Jefferson reconnects with its feminine side (woop woop!) as it becomes ‘The Jane’, a temporary cocktail bar giving ladies a place to boogie pre, post or in-between NZ Fashion Week—yeehoo!

Perfectly planned as per, ‘The Jane’ is named after Thomas Jefferson’s mother, desirably iconic and much deserved, if you ask us. So for these five short days, this pop-up will celebrate the women who’ve shaped history with a limited edition menu boasting the finest cocktails and of course, special events.

What are we looking forward to most? It would have to be the cocktail masterclass. Mixing and mingling over a few delicious cocktails is tempting enough, but here you’ll actually join the experts behind the bar and learn how to stir up the perfect drink for every occasion! A much desired skill in every household, right?

If you're after an evening of pure class, then be sure to join champagne connoisseur Bridget Schmidt as you taste test the finest wines France has to offer. Or, simply stick with the venues roots and join New Zealand’s very own Whisky Girl Tash McGill, as she teaches you everything you've ever wondered about this brilliant liqueur.

Gone are the days where whiskey is solely for men—and The Jefferson is proving just that. It’s time to pop on your stilettos and head down to The Jane for a night to celebrate all things beautiful. Bring your man along or your best friend and enjoy an atmosphere that rewards you for simply being you.
