Start the week right with Pokémon and finish it with one of the best musicals ever. Sounds like a good week right? Well it gets even better. There’s a side of food trucks to go with those Pokémon, plus we’ve got a book party, a fashion film night and the chance to judge a whole heap of people who are trying to make you laugh. Best week ever?!

Pokémon Go & Food Trucks At The Beaufort Street Night Markets
The Beaufort Street night markets are back in Inglewood with over 60 food trucks and a heap of other stalls. But I guess what you’re all waiting for is the Pokémon side of things? There will be a heap of Pokestops and a couple of Poke-gyms along the street market so you can catch some Pokémon while you eat your delish street eats. Get all the deets here.
Wednesday 3 August
The Book Party At Rosie O’Grady’s
Ummm finally, there’s a party where it’s cool to chat books. These shindigs are held once every couple of months and each one has a theme. This one is the roaring 20s so you can go along and chat Gatsby and all things Fitzgerald. You’ll be joined by author Natasha Lester, comedian Jeff Hewitt and host Sarah Furtner, who is also a comedian so expect a lot of LOLs, plenty of bibliophiles and a few people dressed ready to party like it’s 1925. Get all the info here.
Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel At The Claremont Quarter Fashion Film Festival
Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel is kicking off the Claremont Quarter Fashion Film Festival in style! Thursday 4 August
Little Shop Of Horrors At His Majesty’s Theatre
Provided you don’t live under a rock, Little Shop of Horrors needs no introduction. But here’s a fun fact you might not know if you’re not a musical junkie. The musical was based on a film, and then a film was made based on the musical. Go figure. One of the best musicals EVER, get down to the first preview on Thursday! Get your tickets here
Funny Faces Comedy Competition At The Charles
Put your judging pants on and get yourself to The Charles on Thursday night to see some future comedy superstars (and, let’s be honest, probably a few comedy wannabes) do their thang. Each person in the audience—that’s you—gets one vote to choose the funniest person up on stage. This is the final installment in the five-week series so it should be less comedy wannabes and more comedy superstars. Winning. Get more info here.
