The rain seems like it’s sticking around for a little bit longer but at least we’ve got cheese, wine and truck loads of gin to keep us happy. We’ve also got theatre, musical comedy and a Harry Potter Quiz night if you think you’re up for the challenge.
Here are 5 awesome things to do in Perth this week.
Tuesday 16 August – Saturday 3 September
I Do I Don’t At The Blue Room Theatre
Warm, heartfelt and a little bit funny, I Do I Don’t is a story about a gal with a slightly left of centre family re-discovering her childhood. With the star named after Whitney Houston, we’re expecting some killer pop tunes and a few laughs. Get all the details here.
Wednesday 17 August
Taste And Terroir | Ultimate Cheese Board At Fraser’s Restaurant
The Blow Cow Cheese Company and Fraser’s are teaming up to bring our two true loves together—wine and cheese. Whether you know a fair bit about wine and cheese or absolutely nothing, this is set to be a delicious night with five cheeses and five wines. Get your tickets here.
The West Winds Gin Appreciation Night At Young George
Head to Young George on Wednesday night and get to try some of the best gin going around! Made in Margaret River, this gin has won a heap of awards including gold at the San Francisco International Spirits Competition and double gold at the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition, proving it’s not just locals that love this stuff. Get details here.
Wednesday 17 – Saturday 20 August
A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum At State Theatre Centre of WA
A musical comedy that’s a bit risqué, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum is about Rome’s laziest slave who is trying to win over a courtesan his master fancies in exchange for his freedom. The music and lyrics were written by Stephen Sondheim—the same guy who wrote Sweeny Todd—so we’re expecting great things. Get your tickets here.
Thursday 18 August
