Perth Cup | 1 January
There’s no better way to ring in the new year than by honoring an old tradition. Tabtouch Perth Cup returns to Perth on 1 January and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Falls Downtown Festival | 6 & 7 January
The 25th Annual Music and Arts Festival returns to Freo with an exciting line-up of some of the best artists. Featuring pop-up bars and a fancy beer garden, you can also get a chance to party in prison, as the old Fremantle Jail will be transformed with music and dance including blues, jazz and swing, and equipment designed to transport you back to another time. Salt x Summer Markets | 13 January
Salty is the flavor this season. Scarborough Beach is hosting ultimate surf-style, sustainability-focused community market, with lots of delish summer food, live music, and ocean-friendly products to stock up on to give you all of them #Baywatch vibes. Click here for more details
SouthWest Yoga Festival | 13 January
Take some time out for your mind, body, and soul, and head to te Southwest Yoga Fest for a holistic celebration of everything Yoga, including music, food (for the soul as well), market stalls, and a whole lot of spiritual healing. Click here for more details
Irish Cultural Festival | 5—14 January
You might catch some much-needed Irish luck at this one. The Fenians, Fremantle and Freedom Festival honours the 150th anniversary of the arrival of The Hougoumont, Australia’s last convict ship, which arrived in Fremantle with 62 Irish Fenians aboard. The festival will be alive with the lush Irish culture, including vibrant music, film, art, walking tours, poetry & literature! Click here for more details
Electric Gardens | 19 January
Red Hill Auditorium

Summerset Arts Festival | 24 January—11 February
The award-winning Summerset Festival is back this year, running from January 24 to 11 February, taking over the city’s parks and neighbourhoods, transforming them into creative pop-up venues packed with music, laughter, food, arts, children’s activities and much more! To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Summerset will be hosting a free community event featuring acrobats, trance-inducing mermaids and more at the Scarborough beach amphitheatre. Fringe Festival | 26 January – 26 February

EAT Food Festival | 28 January
If you have made a new year’s resolution to live off kale and quinoa for the rest of the year, then scroll along. But for those of you have pledged undying allegiance to the food gods, EAT promises to be an explosion of all things grub, including hot food, baked goods, handcrafted gourmet products, gastronomical delights, local produce including WA honey, beer, and much much more! Kegs By The Quay |12-14 January
We couldn’t possibly do a round-up without at least one beer fest sneaking in. There’s no better time to crack open a couple of cold ones than under the warm summer sun with a fabulous view of the Swan. The festival will feature over 20 breweries, 120 beers, lip-smacking food and live music throughout the day.
