- Besk, West Leederville—West Leedy’s iconic bottle shop and bar is a Christmas party winner, with stellar drinks and a menu that slaps. Hire out the basement for a private celebration, or grab a couple of tables for smaller crews and still feel like a VIP.
- H&C Urban Winery, Fremantle—Plant-filled and picture-perfect, this Freo gem has spaces to suit intimate groups or big blowouts. The barrel room is the star for private parties, but there are countless other cozy corners to spread out and sip in style.
- Jetty Bar, East Fremantle—With its waterfront location, you can soak up all the summery end of year festive energy while also throwing back stellar cocktails and bar bites.
- The Leadlight, Northbridge—Keeping this chrissy casual? The beer yard at Northbridge newcomer The Leadlight is the spot. There's plenty of long tables, great beer (and other drinks, don't worry), plus, seriously good pizzas and pub grub.
- Republic Of Fremantle, Fremantle—With award-winning spirits, Perth's best cocktail creations and the tastiest eats, this lush distillery is made for celebrating. Plus, you could always sign the whole office up for gin school or cocktail lessons if you want something to do before getting lit.
- The Old Synagogue, Fremantle—Choosing a space here is the hardest part, with11 function rooms including a rooftop bar, beer garden, cocktail lounge, and restaurant. Whatever your crew’s style, there’s a spot to pop the bubbly and make it a party to remember.
- Freo.Social, Fremantle—Keep it casual with a reserved space in the back or front yard and soak up the communal vibes, or book a private room that’s just for you.
- The Royal Hotel, Perth CBD—Two floors of festive fun: corner saloon, street-level restaurant, two bars upstairs, an iconic verandah, and a private dining room. Pick your spot, rally the crew and let the Christmas cheer flow.
- Seasonal Brewing Co., Maylands—The spacious function hall is available for exclusive hire and includes access to a private bar and events drinks packages, plus pair your drinks with yummy food platters.
- Hylin Back Bar, West Leederville—With its very cool industrial fit-out and mouth-watering menu, Hylin Back Bar is an excellent choice for a Christmas function, and they’ve got a great range of options for groups up to 50.
- Core Cider, Pickering Brook—Featuring a gorgeous courtyard, share platters and set menu options, Core is the perfect little escape from the Christmas chaos happening around the CBD.
- Coast, North Fremantle—Got a large work crew? Luckily for you, Coast can cater up to 1000 people across its seven awesome spaces. Plus, the panoramic views over Port Beach are worth celebrating in itself.
- The Camfield, Burswood—Five bars, 175 beer taps, an on-site microbrewery, 20 screens, and set menu options. The Camfield basically has everything for a colossal Christmas shindig.
- Funk 2.0, Henley Brook—The Funk Cider crew have a second venue in the Swan Valley called Funk 2.0, has it has heaps (and we mean heaps) of ciders and beer, plus indoor and outdoor seating for the ultimate end-of-year bash.
- Terrarium, Perth CBD—Take your festive fling to new heights at Terrarium, a sky-high sanctuary where greenery and glittering city views set the scene for a merry night out. Book a section inside to eat, drink and be merry surrounded by lush plants and creeping vines, or take over the rooftop terrace and let the skyline do the decorating for you.
- Vincent Wine, Northbridge—If your pals loves nothing more than a good drop and even better snacks, Vincent Wine is my Christmas party pick. This cosy Northbridge wine bar oozes Euro charm, with shelves stacked with stellar bottles from near and far.
- Edward & Ida's, Northbridge—For a Christmas do with a little double life, Edward and Ida's has you covered. On the ground floor, it’s all classic pub charm with vintage beer paraphernalia and a shaded beer garden, while downstairs a moody subterranean cocktail den hides beneath the floorboards, ready to host up to 70 merry-makers for late-night martinis and festive mischief.
Restaurants
- Fleur, Perth CBD —For a Christmas party with a little extra sparkle, book a long lunch at Fleur, the Royal Hotel’s impossibly chic inner-city dining room. Soft pink banquettes, moody florals and gold accents set the scene for a celebration that feels more Paris than Perth, while the menu delivers delicate, produce-driven plates and a knockout wine list.
- Lontara, Rottnest Island — Give your Chrissy crew a taste of island life at Lontara, the chic waterfront restaurant inside Samphire Rottnest. Inspired by the vibrant flavours of Southeast Asia, the menu is made for sharing—think zingy small plates, fragrant curries and fresh seafood caught right off the coast. - Si Paradiso, Mount Lawley—Disco, cocktails and pizza...Si Paridso is a proven party powerhouse. You can book out sections of the amphitheatre and knock back organic vino and spritzes in the sunshine or head into the restaurant for something sit down.
- Cooee, Perth—Riverside elegance never goes out of season. Book the leafy courtyard, settle in with a modern Australian menu and stellar wine list, and watch the river sparkle while your team gets merry.
- Wildflower, Perth—For the fancy folk. Go all out with Wildflower’s festive Flow degustation and give your end-of-year bash a glamorous glow-up.
- The Rechabite, Northbridge—Enjoy a Korean inspired spread with the team at The Rechabite’s restaurant Double Rainbow. If you time it right, you can tee it up with a show in the theatre, too.
- Servo, Leederville—Big share plates, bigger cocktails and plenty of room for a long lunch that easily turns into an all-nighter. When you’re done, kick on to neighbours Powell’s, Naber or The Garden.
- The Standard, Northbridge—From grazing boards to exclusive personal chef food stations, a party in the leafy wine garden or up on the deck makes for one of the best Christmas parties going around.
- Long Chim, Perth—The Thai taste-masters at Long Chim aren’t shy when it comes to events, catering for everything from private dining to casual courtyard parties with varied dining and drinking packages.
- Sauma, Northbridge—Catering up to 200 guests and with special set menus ready to tantalise your tastebuds, all you need to do is choose a beverage package and sit back and relax.
- Bib & Tucker, North Fremantle—Views over Leighton Beach, cocktails, share plates, wood-fired pizza, local seafood—what more could you want for a summertime function?
- Emily Taylor, Fremantle—Neighbouring the Freo Markets, the old warder’s cottages are iconic and it doesn’t get much better than throwing back a cocktail or two with some bao and dumplings in the huge leafy courtyard of Emily Taylor.
- The Shorehouse, Swanbourne—Whether it’s breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, seaside restaurant The Shorehouse has your group covered with its spacious deck and private dining area.
- Hadiqa, Perth—Whether you have a small group or are keen to book out the entire venue, Hadiqa has you sorted with delicious eats and smashable cocktails all inspired by the Middle East. We love this option for its gluten free eats, plus the rooftop function space is unreal.
- Sweetwater Rooftop Bar, East Fremantle—With amazing cocktails, delicious Asian inspired eats and views from six stories up, it's pretty hard to beat an afternoon at Sweetwater.
Activities
- Planet Royale, Northbridge—This adult play area is a huge three-tiered haunt in the old IMAX theatre in Northbridge, complete with its own pop-culture inspired bar, restaurant, arcade and theatre. Inside, Major Tom’s, Pulp Kitchen and Barcadia all offer functions from 20 to 200 people.
- Palace Arcade, Northbridge, Victoria Park and Fremantle—With space for groups of 10 up to 160 and loads of different event packages to choose from, you can combine gaming with big pizzas and an even bigger range of tasty cocktails, making for big time fun this Christmas.
- Holey Moley, Northbridge, Carousel, Karrinyup and Fremantle—Putt your way through different pop-culture-themed courses, sipping on cocktails the entire time at this adult-friendly mini-golf hub.
- Strike Bowling, Carousel, Forrest Chase, Fremantle and Karrinyup—Strike is loaded with ten bowling lanes, karaoke rooms, tough escape rooms and party rooms, not to mention some seriously epic party-appropriate eats.
- Archie Brothers, Forrest Chase—Step into a neon-lit wonderland of arcade madness, carnival games and over-the-top cocktails. From retro pinball to giant prizes, it’s a full-on adult playground where your work crew can let loose, grab a bite, knock back a cocktail or two and compete for ultimate bragging rights.
- The Lookout, Scarborough—You’ve got bowling, you’ve got a bar, and you’ve got bites to nibble on. What more could you need?
- Maniax, Northbridge and Fremantle—Treat the team to something out of the norm with this privately hosted axe-throwing experience. Be coached by the “axe-perts” while enjoying the fully licensed bar and various catering options for up to 350 people.
- Flight Club, Perth CBD and Fremantle—Throw down a dart or two over cocktails and delish nibbles with your work crew in this vintage carnival-like darts bar in the CBD. With two storeys to spill out over and heaps more spots in walking distance, you'll have no trouble making a night of it.
- Dodgy Bros Dodgeball, no fixed address—These guys will arrange pop-up dodgeball tournaments for your whole crew. Sal from accounts been grinding your gears? Someone always leaving their dirty dishes in the sink? Take out all your frustrations on the court! But seriously, it's all safe and genuinely a whole lotta fun.
- Mosman Park Bowling Club, Mosman Park—Nothing says Perth summer like barefoot bowls, cold drinks and a lazy sunset over the greens. Classic, casual and always fun.
