Where To Watch The AFL Grand Final In Brisbane
The big day is almost here. The AFL Grand Final is taking over Brisbane this Saturday 26 September, with the Brisbane Lions going head-to-head with the Fremantle Dockers for the premiership—and a shot at making history. After claiming back-to-back wins in 2024 and 2025, the Lions are chasing the three-peat, and as true Brisbanites, our fingers and toes are crossed.
The footy festivities kick off well before the first bounce, with Aussie pop queen Kylie Minogue and ARIA Award-winning artist G Flip leading the charge on the pre-game entertainment. Singer-songwriter Michael Paynter will take on the national anthem, while Mike Brady AM will uphold Grand Final Day tradition with Up There Cazaly. Then, at 2.30pm, the siren sounds and it’s game on.
Unlike the lucky folk down in Melbourne, Brisbane doesn’t get a public holiday for the Grand Final. It’s about time we got a look in, don’t you think? Consider this our formal application. Alas, that’s not going to stop us from making a day of it.
