Boundary Line Bistro
Boundary Line Bistro has added some serious foodie cred into the most unlikely of places: the Morningside Panthers Football Club. Expect footy club fare like you've never seen before (as in, this shiz is fancy). The menu is full of gems like crispy skin salmon and mac and cheese croquettes, plus, a whole menu dedicated to burgers (on milk buns, no less) and another menu dedicated to sundaes. Not to mention all of the classics: there's parmies, steak, chilli crunch wings and fish 'n' chips. It safe to say this is one footy club bistro we're actually excited to eat at.
St. James Crabhouse & Kitchen
Get ready to don your bibs because Brisbane has got a new crab shack in the form of St. James Crabhouse & Kitchen in Kangaroo Point! With Red Claw, Spanner Crabs, Moreton Bay Bugs, Lobster and ALL the sauces on the menu, we can't wait to indulge in primo seafood on the double.
Mamaku
Mamaku, in Clayfield, is bringing Brisbane a heavy punch of Indonesian flavours, and we're loving it! Mamaku means my mother, so you know the food on offer is authentic and rich in family tradition. Keeping with the family vibe, the menu is comprised of share plates that the whole crew can enjoy. Expect classic Asian flavours like dim sims, slow cooked rendang, pork belly, some epic wings and whole lotta chilli. We're obsessed with the Kripik Kulit Babi though, that's a whole bowl of home made pork crackling. Yum!
Two Donkeys
Set to take the Spring Hill social set by storm, is new cafe Two Donkeys. Serving up a killer breakfast and lunch menu to the hungry hoardes, plus grinding fave Gold Coast beans, Blackboard Coffee exclusively, Two Donkeys is the latest cafe to open in the regenerated suburb.
The Precinct at St Leger
Housed beneath the historic St Leger stand at Eagle Farm Racecourse, The Precinct at St Leger is the newest addition to the Brisbane cafe scene. Adorned with cosy leather sofas, an 'I-could-while-away-the-entire-day' atmosphere, not to mention a kick-ass menu (courtesy of the Wilde Kitchen crew), St Leger offers up delicious, healthy options for breakfast and lunch, and they make a mean coffee!
Rolls Pho Mi
Rolls Pho Mi are Brisbane's newest Vietnamese food truck. Serving up all our Vietnamese faves like their epic 24 hour pho, a seriously authentic Banh Mi, deliciously fresh rice paper rolls and other faves. Brisbane chocolatiers, Kokopod are doing us chocoholics proud! Available in various local providores and cafes, Kokopod also have an online store, so there really is no excuse for bad-tasting chocolate in this town!
Slack’s Track Cafe
Slack's Track Cafe is the newest venture from the peeps behind 85 Miskin Street. The freshly opened venue is serving up breakfast and lunch on Logan Road in Mount Gravatt. The cafe's moniker came from the area's history; Slack's Track got its name from settler William Slack #TheMoreYouKnow.
Billykart Provisions
Billykart is a Brisbane fave, but now we have Billykart Provisions. It's a deli and bottle shop, in the heart of West End, that has aisles and aisles filled with the most delicious groceries we've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Yuuum. Expect freshly made salads, cakes that resemble works of art, and desserts (snickers tart, anyone?). The best part? Epic time-saving ready made dinners from our fave Brisbane dining institution. Shut up and take our money already, Billykart Provisions.
Uncle Ho
Uncle Ho is an epic new Vietnamese beer cafe, or Bia Hoi as it's known in Vietnam, in the Valley. Based on the rustic and raw beer cafes of Vietnam, expect street food staples such as rice paper rolls, banh mi and pho and fresh beer aplenty at Uncle Ho.
Phat Pho
What does Brisbane always need more of? Awesome Vietnamese pho of course! We're stoked that brand new restaurant Phat Pho is coming to Newstead in April bringing with it delicious pho in time for the (slightly) cooler autumn weather. There will also be banh mi baguettes, rice paper rolls and super strong Vietnamese-style coffee.
Catchment Brewing Co
Housed on the corner of Boundary and Vulture Street, Catchment Brewing Co has quickly made a name for itself amongst the West End craft beer community. Their core range includes plenty of pun-derful creations—the Whynot Lager has certainly caught our attention—that pair perfectly with a burg from Catchment’s plant-based range. Currently on tap are a range of limited edition brews just waiting to be sampled by Brisbane’s beer connoisseurs, the most popular of which you can score in a four-pack. Catchment even sells beers by the carton, so if you find a flavour you love, be sure to scour their site so you can stock up at home.

Pig & Kraut has brought German Bratwurst, Belgium style frites and iced-tea to South Bank Parklands. Offering easy, grab and go choices as well as dine-in options in their farm-inspired alfresco space, Pig & Kraut is the perfect spot to seek refuge from the heat, seven days a week in the heart of Southbank.

Nutri Hitt in Geebung is putting a healthy twist on dessert. Forget feeling guilty for treating yourself, Nutri Hitt is providing an alternative to traditional sweets, offering raw, vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar-free treats. Healthy + delicious = sign us up!
Hopster Boutique Beer Bar
Hopster, on Caxton Street, answers all your craft beer and epic eats prayers. With a roster of boutique craft beers, a puntastic cocktail menu (Gini Hendrinks anyone?) and a bevy of epic events on rotation (cards against humanity night anyone?) we can't get enough of this spot. Oh, and there's mars bar vodka. There are rumours of a cocktail at Hopster that contains an entire fried chicken as a garnish FYI. If the punny menu and epic beers don't have you falling in love already, wait til you see their out of this world burgers. Don't forget to enter their Reaper wings-challenge either, it's a 2,000,000 on the Scolville scale (dat hot!). For $15 you get a dozen wings and a schooner of Fred IPA, if you finish them in 5 minutes you get a big ol' prize and a picture on their wall of fame.
The Milton Markets
The Red Hill Markets have found a new home as the Milton Markets on Cribb street. Get set for their launch on April 17th 2017 where you can expect to find South East Queensland's and Northern New South Wales' freshest produce. We can't wait for the gourmet food stalls, traditional foods and market provisions we loved at the Red Hill Markets to finally be back in our lives again. The markets will kick back into the swing of things every Sunday from 6am to 12pm.
The Yiros Shop
The Yiros Shop is making its way to South Brisbane bringing with it delectable traditional Greek yiros (tender meat on a rotisserie) on soft Greek pitas filled with pork, tomato, onion, parsley, tzatziki, crumbled feta and oregano.

Keep an eye on their social media for community roasting nights and cupping sessions. Their menu is delicious too with granola from The Unrefined, and seasonal local produce making up all the classic brekky faves with a unique spin.

If cats and coffee are two of your favourite things, you’re in for a treat at Lucky Cat Café. Here you can book yourself in for a special cat experience session where you’ll have the chance to spend an hour playing with adorable rescue cats (all of whom are fostered from local rescues and up for adoption if you happen to fall in love…) and then if you’re up for it, spend an hour trying your hand at a range of activities including cat toy making, earring or keyring making.
Noosa Chocolate Factory’s Little Research Store
From the Noosa Chocolate Factory comes the latest to their CBD family: the Little Research Store. Serving incredible coffee all day courtesy of local roasters Fonzie Abbott, and offering samples of their 25 different varieties of chocolate, the Little Research Store is an interactive joy unlike any other coffee house in Brisbane. Also on offer are some incredible pick and mix, Amy's famous brownies, and the best selection of hot or cold chocolates around.

Genkotsu Ramen, Toowong
Genkotsu Ramen is as authentic as they come, with its owners honing their ramen skill on the streets of Tokyo. Their broth is brewed for 12 long hours, and each ingredient is marinated, chopped, de-salted and put to the test to ensure you end up with the most delicious bowl of ramen.
The Doughnut Bar, Wintergarden

Microlot Coffee House, in Hawthorne, is changing the coffee game in Brisbane. With beans fresh from Colombia (and other smaller, local growers) and roasted on site, you know you're in for a tasty brew. Stay tuned for the end of February when they introduce their food menu, hint, gruyere cheese and fried eggs on brioche will be on the menu.

Cypher Coffee, in Sandgate, guarantee you'll love their coffee as much as Kayne loves Kayne so you know it's good. With a local team, good coffee, tasty treats and a seriously cool set up you really can't afford to give these guys a miss. Try the Erykah Badu Bagel (green apple, prosciutto, greens and gorgonzola) and thank us later.

Southside Bistro has just opened up in Sunnybank. Their menu is pretty awesome with chip offerings of Wagyu-fat roasted french fries (...yum) and chickpea-battered sweet potato chips. Check out their all day tapas too, you won't be disappointed.

Comuna Cantina will open its doors in March serving up the most delicious Latin street food. Think fresh, authentic, tasty street morsels like grilled sweet corn, pincho barbeque skewers and refreshing frozen margaritas. We can't wait til they open so we can chow down on their TDF tacos every other day!
Seven South, Yeronga
Newly-opened Seven South in Yeronga boasts head chef Sam Potter, who trained under Phillip Johnston of Ecco. The next level menu include highlights such as lemon thyme, blueberry and ricotta hotcakes, grilled pork and fennel sausages, porcini sformato with shiraz reduction, smoked salmon fishcakes and smokey bourbon and maple glazed beef ribs. Yum. Looks like we'll be on the southside more often. Bonus? They're dog friendly!
5 Boroughs, Ascot
5 Boroughs brought the real flavour of all of New York's 'urban communities' to Stones Corner, 5 Boroughs is a new Brisbane bar with Yankee 'tude in all the right places, now it's Ascot's turn, in a bigger and better location.

Plus, they even have food trucks rock up to feed the masses. See you there!
Ethio-African Restaurant & Injera Bakery
Ethio-African Restaurant & Injera Bakery in Moorooka is the perfect taste of Africa, minus the plane ticket. Perfect for the meat eater and vegetarian alike, the food is cooked for hours to deliver soft, tender fare served with chapati flat bread. You need to try the Key Wot (Beef Stew), scoop it up with some injera bread.

Plant Based Dough Co. at the Boundary Street Markets serves up vegan doughnuts and other delicious baked goods. Offering Brisbane's most delicious segue for vegan's into the doughnut scene, you don't want to miss these guys.
