It has been a looooong week catching Pokémon all over Perth and boy oh boy, are we ready for the weekend to arrive.

This weekend is jam-packed with gigs, wizardry, plenty of $5 beers and a screening of one of the best movies ever.

Dro Carey has been on a career high for the past few years and before playing at Splendour In The Grass this month, he is going to smash out a set at The Rosemount Hotel tomorrow night for all you lovely peeps who can't make it over east. He will be playing his brand new EP ’Dark Zoo’ plus all the originals that we love.

The Monastery welcomes all the wonderful wizards of Perth to their Harry Potter Party tomorrow night. Grab your cloaks and wands and enjoy a pint of butter beer or a touch of polyjuice potion while playing quiddich on the d-floor. FYI: No muggles allowed.

Our pals down at Double Double in Subi are celebrating three years of boozy nights and caffeinated mornings tomorrow afternoon and you MUST join them. There will be live entertainment, a cocktail bar and some delish food trucks. Huzzah!

This art show is something a little different and we are super keen to go and check it out. Kathy Allam has recycled thousands of plastic bottles and transformed them into spectacular sculptures that focus on flowing shapes and coloured light. Looks insane.

This Saturday arvo the guys at 399 Bar will be serving up $5 beers, $5 Cubano Baguettes (corned beef, swiss cheese, pickles & mustard…. yum!) and they’ll also have a handy barber on site doing schmick beard trims for all the lads. Don’t worry though guys, non-bearded folk are also allowed in.

Singer, songwriter and painter, Joni Mitchell has had an incredible life and inspired and influenced generations of singers and musicians around the world, so it is only fitting that there is a tribute show dedicated to this fabulous lady. This Saturday night at The Ellington Jazz Club is where you need to be to for what is going to be an amazing night.

This Sunday afternoon, Black Brewing Co and their fabulous brew will be taking over the taps at Asado Claremont. This black out (pun intended) will start at 3pm and will involve $5 schooners, live music and plenty of yummies to fill your tummies.

Make sure you head down to Mandurah train station this Sunday morning to join every other Pokémon Go trainer in Perth to try and ‘catch em’ all’. If you’re not into this at all, take a seat in the Hay or Murray Street Mall and watch people frantically run around without looking where they’re going. It will be equally as entertaining.

Head down to the Maiden Markets in Maylands this Sunday and check out over 40 indoor stalls featuring some pretty rad homewares, art, succulents, ladies fashion, jewellery, beauty and skincare as well as a mountain of other goodies. As always there will be food and lots of coffee too… YAS!
