Spinning, running, skating, eating, and a touch of art… we’ve got it all sorted this week for you, Listers. From charity runs to ground breaking art exhibitions and all the foodie events in between, the last week of June certainly won’t be boring so you can welcome the cold days ahead with a smile.

Check out all the fun things to do in Sydney this weekend!

Thursday 25th June

World’s Largest Spin Class

Some might say biking is the new running, and it certainly gets you a step closer to the butt that you’ve been wanting all year round. Fitness gurus and spin experts Base Body Babes and Cadel Evans will be running the class in Circular Quay in attempt to set a World Record for health. It starts at 8am, but make sure you pre-register before you go and get there by 7:30am to get the best spot! Oh, it’s also free so you’ve got no excuse to not get your spin shorts on and get on the bike—even it’s just for a bit of a laugh. For more information, head here

Kooky Night out at Bishop Sessa

Surry Hills’ restaurant Bishop Sessa are once again hosting one of their famous themed dinners, and this time it’s celebrating all things weird and wonderful. They’ve got head chef Paul Cooper creating an imaginative menu alongside host Erez Gordon’s wacky wine list (crafted specially for the night). Tickets are $129 per person and the dinner starts at 7pm—get excited for a memorable night of fantastic food with a touch of weirdness.

Friday 26th June

For things to do in Sydney that involve shopping on the cheap (don’t pretend you don’t love a sale), Melbourne label HANDSOM will be holding their first ever Sydney sample sale this weekend. Kicking off on Friday and going till Sunday, score some sweet pieces from their menswear and womenswear ranges. With up to 80% off, you’re bound to find yourself a good deal here.

Where: 46 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills

Saturday 27th June

Balvenie Craft Fair & Winter Picnic

You wouldn’t expect single-malt whisky makers to grow their own barley, malt it in their own floor malting and still have a coppersmith to tend to the stills. But that’s how The Balvenie does it. To celebrate this delicious craft, The Balvenie will be holding a pop-up bar at the Strand Arcade in Sydney where you can sample some of their best drinks alongside the best food talents The Strand has to offer. We’re talking Haigh’s chocolate samples, salted cashews and picnic treats from The Nut Shop and a refreshing Matcha Tea Blend from Take Tea. Not to mention that you can enjoy the tastings from a tranquil Parisian inspired picnic-seating area while you watch the activity below. It’s bound to be an afternoon of foodie delights—our favourite kind.

Moro Eat Life Up Pop-Up in Parramatta

Join blogger Lola Berry and Spanish celebrity chef Miquel Maestre for an afternoon of sharing good times and great food. Feast on the giant pan of paella, or slurp up some spoonfuls of ceviche while watching free cooking sessions throughout. Pop out west to Centenary Square any time between 12:30pm – 4:30pm.

Sunday 28th June

Amali Ward & Victoria Avenue at Opera Bar

Sydney Harbour has never sounded so good—Victoria Avenue and Amali Ward are coming to town! Country pop trio, Victoria Avenue, are bringing their ambition and fun for an afternoon of light country sound, starting at 2:30pm. Stick around afterwards because soul singer Amali Ward will be gracing the stage from 6pm to bring a little Motown to your evening. Enjoy the sound with one of Opera Bar’s famous cocktails on the side to end your week in peace.

A One-Off Pasta Degustation by Morgan McGlone at Casoni

Melburnians may have to queue up round the block for Morgan McGlone’s famous fried chicken, but Casoni are bringing his Italian side to the table. “I learnt the importance of Italian cuisine is simplicity and respect of ingredients” says McGlone, who will be cooking up two pasta degustations (12:30pm and 2pm) with his mate Lachlan and the Casoni crew this Sunday. No queues, just amazing carbalicious times. $90 per person, $150 with matching wines.

Monday 29th June

We’re not sure about you, but we’re huge Jungle Giants fans at The Urban List and can be heard blasting them in the office on any given day. The new full-length album, “Speakerzoid”, will be out on August 7th and to coincide with this, the guys have announced a national tour (cue girlish squeals). Where there once was sea there will now be ice: Bondi is transforming into a winter wonderland-inspired outdoor skating rink. You can book skating lessons to get your skating skills up-to-scratch, or just book a session and try not to fall over! Whatever you choose it’s sure to be a whole lot of fun—don’t forget the camera because this one’s sure to be Insta-worthy.

Miss Peaches Boilermaker Banquet

Our vegetarian and vegan friends might have to miss this one, as our favourite Newtown hangout is hosts a Boilermaker banquet to celebrate all things meat! Miss Peaches is putting on a feast of smoked meats and delectable treats—all matched with beers and whiskey, of course. You can get all this plus talks from the Batch Brewing lads themselves for $90 here.
