Brisbanes Best Burgers

So many burgers, so little time. A very real problem faced by many Brisbane residents. With so many great burgers out there, it’s hard to know where to start. Don’t worry, you guys, we’ve put together this awesome list of Brisbane’s newest burgers to help you get your priorities in order.

Start at the top and work your way all the way to the bottom to discover the very best new burgers Brisbane has to offer.

Getta Burger

West End and Bridgeman Downs

Yassssss! Getta Burger have opened two new locations, West End and Bridgeman Downs. Get yourself down to either location for an out-of-this-world burger feast. Must-try’s include the Getta Boss, 12 hour smoked beef brisket, crispy bacon, double cheese, pickle, jalapeños and ‘That BBQ Sauce’. Don’t forget to get a side serve of Getta Fries, they’re topped with smoked salt dust. All the noms.

The Bleachers

West End

If you loved Ben’s Burgers, you’re in for a real treat my friend with The Bleachers. While it’s not open just yet, this new addition to West End’s food scene will be serving up Ben’s already well-loved burger favourites, plus a few additional burger-licious creations. Look for a seasonal menu packed full of big, fresh flavours and irresistible burger treats. Word on the street is, there’s going to be a soft serve machine too. Strap yourselves in, folks.

Pineapple Express

With a focus on healthy superfoods, the team at Pineapple Express are bringing really delicious, healthy food options to the James Street Precinct. Their menu boasts four tempting burgers, each of which can be served ‘naked’ on lettuce cups or on a corn bun. Vegetarians are covered with the Vegetarian Burger, house-made veggie pattie, avocado, lettuce leave, Kale-naise, sautéed mushrooms and onion, sliced tomato and tomato relish. Meat lovers get to choose from a traditional beef burger, chicken burger and lamb burger.

The Defiant Duck

Brand new Gasworks hot spot, The Defiant Duck, is dishing up out-of-this-world American food with soul and Southern hospitality. The whole menu is packed with must-try’s but their burger list is where it’s at! Try the Charcoal Grilled Chicken burger with swiss cheese, onion ring and paprika mayo or the BBQ Pulled Pork burger with shaved fennel slaw and signature TDD BBQ sauce.

Southside Bistro

Sunnybank, represent! New tapas, burger and dessert spot, Southside Bistro, has a delicious range of Mantou burgers. What is Mantou? A Chinese steamed bread with a cloud-like texture that will melt in your mouth. Try the 12 hour slow cooked lamb burger with crushed pumpkin, yogurt, house tomato and chutney served with cheese fries. For Asian-inspired flavours, the double cooked pork belly burger with tamarind and palm sugar glaze, english mustard, pickled onion, apple & kale slow and french fries is a must-try.

The Humble Quinoa

Pop into Indooroopilly’s newest cafe and deli, The Humble Quinoa, for your weekly burger fix. Their lunch menu boasts a range of tempting dishes, including a braised brisket burger with onion jam, home-made ketchup, rocket and gherkins. Best of all, it’s served on a brioche bun! Bonus points for anyone who buys a chocolate èclair on the way out and eats it in their car on the way home.

The Smug Fig

East Brisbane

Located on Stanley Street, The Smug Fig has recently opened its doors, boasting a light and airy semi-outdoor dining area that’s an easy spot to lose a few hours. On the menu are a number of lunch-time favourites, including one heck of a beef burger. Premium beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, baby gem lettuce, tomato tomato, caramelised onions, gherkins and mayonnaise, all served with sweet potato chips. Yum!

Morning After

West End

Another newbie on the West End food scene, Morning After is the vision of mother and son Soula and Yianni Passaris. Their breakfast and lunch menus offer healthy and indulgent treats from locally sourced produce. Pop in after 11:30am to get your mitts on their signature cheeseburger. We’re talking classic cheeseburger with smoked bacon, road onion and jalapeño jam, pickles, ketchup and mustard served with chips.
