Perth prides itself on its top-notch coffee and with more quality cafes brewing up the good stuff every day, we thought we should put together a list of the places you really should have ticked off by now.

Some of these places are new to the scene and some are tried and true coffee spots that have kept us well caffeinated for years.

Here are 50 of the best cafes in Perth you should have had coffee at. (Editor's note: This list is in no particular order...that would be waaaaaay too hard!)

  1. Flo Espresso in Northbridge: Serving coffee from Five Senses, this cafe is a hit with local office workers. Get a toastie to go with your brew and your morning will be made.
  2. Sprolo Speciality Coffee in South Perth: This Perth coffee haven delivers the freshest caffeine south of the river thanks to in-house roasting by Blacklist Coffee Roasters.
  3. Bossman in Mt Lawley: This low-lit retreat from the hustle and bustle of Beaufort Street dishes out fab coffee and Greek treats.
  4. La Veen Coffee & Kitchen in Perth: The coffee in this heritage building is first-class and the interior is to die for.
  5. Gesha Coffee Co in Fremantle: A firm favourite among the Freo crew, get the talented baristas to whip you up a tasty cup of jo and grab some beans to take home.
  6. Jac And The Bean in Fremantle: The crew here are ever so skilled with the coffee machine, plus friendly on the wallet—winning.
  7. BOO Espresso in North Perth: Puppycinos for your four-legged friend as well great coffee for you. Nuff said.
  8. Max & Sons in Perth: A welcome addition to the 140 family, top quality coffee, sangas and sweet treats are dished out here on the daily.
  9. Small Print in Perth: An in-house roastery, bakery and cafe, the knowledgeable staff here are always on-hand to direct you towards your optimum caffeine fix.
  10. The Daily Espresso in Swanbourne: A western 'burbs favourite, these guys brew up top notch espresso and filter coffees from roasters such as Proud Mary and Loaded.
  11. Moore and Moore in Fremantle: Cafes don‘t come much cuter. Luckily the coffee is good too.
  12. Cleaver Street Coffee in West Perth: The coffee is amazing but the most amazing thing is that the boys here manage to dish out bagels, soup and cakes from this tiny kitchen.
  13. Standing Room Only in Perth: Tucked down Piccadilly Arcade in the Perth CBD, even if this isn’t on your usual route it’s well worth the detour. 
  14. Gordon St Garage in West Perth: When the cold drip coffee press is what greets you at the door you know things are getting serious. Awesome coffee abounds.
  15. Antz Inya Pantz in Victoria Park and Fremantle: The crew here use fresh Colombian Jacoba beans which are both ethically produced and super tasty.
  16. Uncle Joe’s Mess Hall in Perth: One of Perth’s best barbers with a side of coffee? Yes please.
  17. Daphne Cafe in Northbridge: Cosy up on the cushions near the big windows and enjoy your killer brew at this gorgeous Northbridge cafe.
  18. Get Ya Fix in Northbridge: Coffee and fixies—this place is a caffeine fiends dream! Make this place your first pit-stop on your weekend cycle around town.
  19. Lowdown in Perth: Don’t be scared off by the morning crowds, the bearded brewsters sling coffees with surprising ease. Some of the best in Perth too!
  20. Yelo in Trigg: Killer coffee, with an even better view. So Perth it hurts.
  21. Standby Espresso in Mount Lawley: This tiny hole in the wall coffee spot in Mount Lawley brews up yummy coffee. The bircher museli is dang fine too!
  22. Altruist Specialty Coffee Brewers in Mt Hawthorn: A morning coffee at this cute little Mount Hawthorn local is one of the best ways you could start your morning.
  23. Telegram Coffee in Perth: Luke Arnold has found his new home in the restored State Buildings and will serve you up a boutique cup of joe for under a fiver. Winning.
  24. Little Olive Leaf Cafe in Willagee: Great coffee, homemade-style food and handmade gifts are the name of the game at this Willagee cafe.
  25. Ristretto Walkup Coffee Wall in Northbridge: The crew here know good coffee and we were pleased as punch when they opened a branch in Northbridge. Cheers guys.
  26. Howdy Coffee in Bayswater: The new sheriff in Bayswater town, follow the rainbow road at That Space Artisan Market to good coffee times.
  27. Koffie Winkel in Northbridge: A welcome addition to James Street, this gorgeous cafe isn’t just a pretty face—the coffee is next-level good too.
  28. DuoTone in East Perth: This CBD cafe has a selection of coffees to please the most snobbiest of the snobby coffee snobs. Guatemalan Compartmento Alto anyone?
  29. Harvest Espresso in Victoria Park: This tiny cafe whips up a mean coffee and a really unique food offering.
  30. Mary Street Bakery in Mt Lawley and West Leederville: Is there anything these guys can’t do? You might only have eyes for the doughnuts but the coffee is delish too.
  31. Bib & Tucker in North Fremantle: Not to be outdone by the epic views, Bib & Tucker offer some of the yummiest coffees in town.
  32. Roasting Warehouse in South Fremantle: One of the best spots for breakfast in Freo, the coffee here will have you buzzing all day long.
  33. Hobart Deli in North Perth: We’re partial to the muffins at this much-loved neighbourhood cafe, but the coffee is always good too.
  34. Little Sisto in Doubleview: Dishing out some of the best coffee in Perth with a friendly smile, text in your coffee order to avoid a wait.
  35. Sayers in Leederville: The queues for this cafe are a good indication of the awesomeness that abounds within. The coffee, as you would expect, is on point.
  36. Hylin in West Leederville: This place is packed day after day and for good reason. The food, coffee and interior is a delight for the senses.
  37. Stimulatte in Subiaco: Go for the coffee and stay for some eats, this cafe is a Subi institution.
  38. Boucla in Subiaco: This much-loved Rokeby Road cafe serves up excellent coffee alongside a rad middle eastern brekky menu.
  39. Tropico in North Beach: This beautifully designed, light and airy cafe is serious about their coffee offering. And we’re serious about drinking it.
  40. Little Lefroy’s in South Fremantle: A thoughtful little cafe that takes care to minimise its environmental footprint, the coffee is outstanding here.
  41. Haynes Street Larder in Kalamunda: The locals may want to keep this place a secret but it’s too good not to share.
  42. Ootong & Lincoln in South Fremantle: One of the most popular haunts in town, the top quality nosh isn’t outdone by the superb coffee.
  43. Eleven Squares in Fremantle: Grab a coffee and bite to go at this cute newbie in the Freo piazza. 
  44. Typika Artisan Roasters in Claremont: A gleaming in-house roaster and a unique variety of blends make this one of the best brews in the western burbs.
  45. Pixel Espresso in Leederville: Mano a Mano, Proud Mary, Seven Seeds and Five Senses are amongst the roasters supplying this super cute Leedy cafe.
  46. Red Cherries in Fremantle: The crew here roast their own beans and offer an impressive variety of unique blends, single origins and filters from other hand-picked roasters.
  47. Felix & Co in Nedlands: This hip little cafe serves up an ever changing coffee menu to a discerning Nedlands crowd.
  48. Blink Coffee Bar in Fremantle: Small on space but massive on hospitality, the coffee is just as good as the community feels at this Freo cafe.
  49. Spring Espresso in Subiaco: A favourite among coffee-loving cyclists, Spring is all about great service, knowledgeable staff and awesome-tasting coffee.
  50. Architects & Heroes in Subiaco: A mission to deliver Perth’s best coffee, alongside a unique food offering makes this cafe a Subi favourite.
