Sydney Marathon

The TCS Sydney Marathon 2025 is expecting 35,000 runners on Sunday 31 August, not including the thousands participating in the 10km version or the 5km Mini Marathon on Saturday 30 August.
The main marathon course covers a whopping 42.195kms—don’t forget to start your Strava. There are three separate morning run times, with it all wrapping up at 3.15pm; the perfect time to cool off and visit one of the local businesses for a cheeky iced drink.

Missed out on running the Sydney Marathon? There's a bush-bashed version just a few weeks later; Sydney Trail Marathon takes you through Castle Hill’s scenic Bidjigal Reserve, with a full marathon on Sunday 5 October and a half marathon (sold-out—join the waitlist) on Monday 6 October, both starting at 7am.
The track weaves under eucalyptus canopies, along babbling creeks and past native flora and fauna. Participants score a premium event t-shirt, free race photos and a finishers medal.

Run Huskisson
Running since 2011 (literally), Run Huskisson is one of Australia's largest coastal running festivals. There’s a race for everyone, including a full and half marathon for those eager to compete, a 10km race, and fun runs spanning 5km and 2.5km. You can also pick your start wave for the longer distances.

In mid November, fitness folks from across the globe will travel to Hamilton Island for the 2025 Triathlon (and Junior Triathlon) on Saturday 17 November and the Hamilton Island Ocean Swim on Sunday 16 November.

The 35km walk stretches across the Mornington Peninsula, starting at the Quarantine Station, through Dromana Beach and across Martha Cove inlet before finishing at Martha Cove Marina, taking about seven to eight hours to complete.
