Serving fresh and seasonal eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Little Guildford is a real gem of a cafe. From the rustic tables and old school wooden chairs to the shelves filled with vintage knick knacks, the cafe fits in perfectly with its Guildford surroundings. We recommend grabbing a table by one of the big windows, ordering an extra large cup of joe and taking in the sights of this lovely, leafy part of town.

The Little Bakery

The Little Bakery in Nedlands make some of the tastiest cupcakes we’ve had the pleasure of trying. They’re baked to just the right size with the perfect level of sweetness—the kind of cupcake you could definitely go back for seconds for. With flavours spanning from the standard chocolate and vanilla to coconut, cookies and cream and red velvet, The Little Bakery also make celebration cakes and seriously excellent biscuits (think: melting moments, florentines and chocolate chip).

Genesis In The Hills

Tucked away among the trees in Roleystone, Genesis in the Hills dishes out some of Perth's best vegetarian and vegan eats. Everything on the menu is homemade with local and organic ingredients wherever possible—think veggo lasagne, smoothie bowls, cold-pressed juices and raw desserts. Head in on the first Saturday of the month and you'll also get to hear from local jazz musicians while you munch on your goodies. Put it on your Hills hit-list stat!

Conveniently located on the coolest little street in East Fremantle (George Street), the Pilates Centre WA offers up reformer classes lead by some of the best instructors around town. The studio’s 60-year-old owner Trudy, has a bangin’ body which has become the envy and the inspiration for all of her students, and she offers up a pretty sweet unlimited monthly membership package which allows you to attend one class every day the studio is open. You’ll need to book in for this one and be sure to schedule sessions around your George Street brunch hangs—it’s all about the balance!

Jumplings Tasty Dumplings

Possibly Perth’s best food truck, Jumplings Tasty Dumplings fry up some killer gyoza (Japanese-style pan-fried dumplings). The chicken, duck and vego varieties are menu staples, but if you’re lucky you might get to try the prawn, chilli crab or scallop Jumplings. To carb things up a notch, have your Jumplings served bowl style with udon noodles, cabbage and coriander, topped with homemade chilli and truffled ponzu sauces. Jumplings just opened up a stall in the Raine Square food court, which means a dumplings fix just got a whole lot more convenient for city workers!

Some of Perth's best burgers are served up by our mates at Hoodburger. They're stacked sky high and filled with goodness like onion rings, fried chicken and chips. You can find these guys dishing out the goods from their shopfront at Northbridge's Old Shanghai. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to see what kind of delights they are pumping out of their test kitchen; last we saw it was a mash and gravy burger.

Mosman Park's Bittersweet Bake has to be one of the best bakeshops in town. Walking in you'll be overwhelmed by the glass cabinet filled with beautiful sweet treats and lunchtime eats. Who could say no to that?!

The Dough Room is the latest and greatest Italian pizzeria to hit the streets of Attadale! With exposed brick everywhere, a slightly rustic interior and the baddest woodfire pizza oven we've ever seen, this place makes your jaw drop as soon as you walk in. The pizzas are next level insane as well. House made bases with flour flown in from Italy and topped with only the freshest ingredients. It doesn't get much better then that.

Lord Coffee

Perth's newest little hole-in-the-wall coffee spot is now serving all the lords and ladies of perth with their amazing brew and delicious treats. Lord Coffee (opposite NIB Stadium) is pretty hard to miss with its awesome black and white graphics painted on the walls. They take coffee orders via text if you're in a hurry and serve some pretty specky banana bread and other loaves to fill your tummy. You can even drive through—heck yes!

If you're after delicious and cheap South-East Asian delicacies look no further than Old Lane Street Eats in Northbridge. The menu at this little China Town eatery really packs a punch with everything from bao, satay and curry dishes to juicy noodles and fragrant rice. Do your tastebuds a favour and order the Roti John (a chilli-cheeseburger-tasting bun filled with beef, egg, onion, sambal, Sriracha and kewpie mayo) and the Marmite Chicken Bao (boneless chicken, cucumber, carrot, spring onion, kewpie and Marmite sauce). You won't be disappointed!

Unfortunately, grocery shopping is part of our daily lives, but it’s not all about the big chain supermarkets, people.The Herdsman in Churchlands is one of the best gourmet supermarkets in Perth and with a deli, bakery, butcher and florist, there’s no way you’re leaving empty handed. The staff here try each and every one of the products stocked to give it their tick of approval, and it shows! It's hard to say what are favourite section of the supermarkets is, but we know for sure that their picnic hamper which includes cheese, meats, salads, dips, bread AND crackers is a winner! It all comes in a handy little thermo bag so you can grab it on your way to the picnic—that's what we call winning.

Renos On St Quentin

Hair salon Renos On St Quentin is sitting pretty in Claremont Quarter and is doing a stellar job keeping the ladies and gents of Claremont looking their best. The salon is b-e-a-utiful, the team here is next level amazing and it's the only place where you will actually hope to get left at the basin for a while because you get to watch all your fave rom-coms (with sub-titles of course) while you get your hair washed. The team here will have you feeling like a whole new person in no time.

Academy in Claremont is serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner using only the highest quality ingredients. Head chef Jay Tesorero who used to cook for the stars (like ABBA... seriously!) has found a new home in Claremont and we're loving it. Academy is a little bit fancy but with a relaxed and laid back atmosphere—the perfect combination if you ask us. Their breakfast menu looks so delicious but it's the dinner menu that has us excited. We'll take the lamb cutlets with green pea puree, chèvre, red wine jus and chat potatoes please.

Hit them up for a cocktail on the weekend or breakfast if you're more of a morning person.

Bowl'n in Perth put smoothies in a bowl and they do it well! These bad boys are the latest craze to hit the healthy freaks' to-do lists and we can't get enough of them either. No Lights No Lycra in Perth is THE place to go to truly dance like no one is watching—because it's pitch black and no one is watching! Every Monday night at Leederville Town Hall you can put on your dancing shoes and dance the night away—alcohol free and judgment free. While it might take a song or two to get into it the first couple of times you go, by the end of the party you'll be counting down the days until the next week!

If you're in need of a new morning coffee hook-up before work make sure you try out Mercado Negro on Pier street in our CBD. They have a massive range of sweets and treats for those of you who like to indulge in the morning but also some savory goodies that they serve up during lunch. The team behind Cafe New Orleans is bringing Southern-inspired soul food to the people of Fremantle and they are loving it. Located in Freo’s west end, they’re dishing up Cajun and creole cuisine with locally roasted coffee and sweet treats. Get yourself a po'boy filled with meat, cajun mayo and Louisiana hot sauce or some waffles with fried chicken and call it a day.

Exhale Espresso on Lord Street in Perth is a coffee shop and pilates studio all in one, so you can go for a sweat sesh and follow it up with breakfast. The food is fresh, simple and freakin' delicious and the coffee is excellent. The pink pitaya and mango smoothie is probably the prettiest drink we've ever seen and it tastes just as good as it looks!

Sohe Thai Fusion in Bicton is dishing out modern Thai food and everything is absolutely drool-worthy. The mango salad is one of the freshest and tastiest things you'll ever eat and the fried rice is also pretty exceptional. If you're a south-sider we think Sohe might just become your new local.

A new addition to the North Beach cafe scene, 96 degrees is brewing some of the best coffee in Perth. Specialising in quality coffee, they have their own bespoke blend and a cold drip nitrogen-infused coffee that'll knock your socks off.

Lil’ Toastface

Toastface Grillah got a little brother and he lives in Northbridge! Lil’ Toastface has opened in the space that used to be Bookend and is dishing out a slightly smaller menu of delicious toasties. If you've never had the pleasure of biting into one of their toasties, do yourself a favour and get here immediately. They're only open for lunch at the moment, but word on the street is they'll be opening in the evening soon enough. Yasss!

You've probably walked past Tong 86 a million times and never noticed it or been tempted to go inside, but let me tell you, this is one of Perth's best Korean BBQ joints. Yes, you sit on dodgy old chairs and yes, the interiors are nothing to write home about, but the food is delicious. Especially the kimchi stew and the kimchi pancake (fan, much?). Make sure you dip your BBQ meats in the peppery peanut oil dressing and wrap them up in a lettuce leaf, it's so good!
